Predicting who will win the next 10 Stanley Cup Finals
Who wins the next 15 Stanley Cups? very simple Question-but super hard to predict.
let's have some fun guessing who will be good for how long...
2021-VGK over TBL (I think Vegas will eventually get it done, their roster so stacked they'll be a legit contender the next 3-4 years. Tampa tries to repeat, but runs out of gas.)
2022-NYR over COL (New York has won two lotteries (Kakko/Lafrieniere) and added Panarin. they have a ton of young players coming. they will be good for a while. Colorado has a great young core, with players maturing and maybe a major FA acquisition, I see the next dynasty forming.)
2023-COL over NYR (command + C, Command + V 2022...except COL comes through.
2024-EDM over TOR (it's an all-canadian matchup with McDavid taking down Matthews. this assumes EDM/TOR GMs can make the necessary changes to get their teams to this level.
2025-VAN over TBL (Vancouver has fully developed and Pettersson, Hughes, and Co. are not to be stopped. a more veteran Tampa team gets back for one more chance but comes up short.)
2026-NJD over EDM (Hughes/Hiscier vs McDavid/Draisaitl. that would be fun.)
2027-OTT over LAK (two teams that have now reached their peak battle it out but Ottawa comes out ahead.)
2028-COL over TOR (toronto gets to the SCF again and promptly runs into Mackinnon. maybe next year leafs...)
2029-MIN over DET (well, the ratings won't be great but......)
2030-PIT over CHI (two dynasties in the last decade have gotten old, stunk, won the lottery, and are competing again in the 2030s...I wonder if Sid and Toews want to coach? that would be good.)
totals
COL-3 Finals, 2 Cups
EDM-2 finals, 1 cup
NYR-2 finals, 1 cup
TOR-2 Finals, 0 cups (in 2030 63 yrs and counting lol...JK I'm sure they'll eventually get one...maybe...)
TBL-2 finals, 0 cups
PIT-1 final, 1 cup
VAN-1 final, 1 cup
VGK-1 final, 1 cup
NJD-1 final, 1 cup
OTT-1 final, 1 cup
MIN-1 final, 1 cup
LAK-1 final, 0 cups
DET-1 final, 0 cups
CHI-1 final, 0 cups

I think Ottawa is asking for an absolute gold mine package to move up right now because Dorion has been pretty adamant that it's going to cost a lot. They won't really care for Strome as an asset, and 22 doesn't move the needle nearly as much as it would need to. But, I think the value is there. Still, you would be fine to just stay at 6 at that point then. Detroit may/will likely pick Perfetti at 4, but there's very little chance Ottawa takes Rossi at 5. Like many teams, they see him as being nowhere close to the BPA. He simply just isn't. It'll likely be Raymond at 5, or Ottawa seems to like Sanderson. If not, they have been reported to be fans of Quinn and Jarvis and would trade back to pick them. One of those two will slip to 6 in just about every scenario, I would say.

I'd take that deal...
Only thing is that Braden Shneider would be nice...

Of those three I have them ranked as Rossi, Perfetti, Lundell. Lundell is the only one I see as having a high chance at center and is a strong defensive/possession player. All of three of them have great hockey IQ imo and I don’t think there is a huge gap between the three.

The Ottawa trade is nowhere close. Strome is a loaded gun with his upcoming deal because of being inflated by one of the best players in the league, so the Sens have zero interest in that, and 6+22+him is not anywhere close to enough for 3 anyways.

I know but he is our best defender. Trading him would demolish our D-Core. Just look at us this season when he was out for a week or so we got scored on endlessly

He shouldn't, but he will - some team will overpay for his performance last season.

I think the DeAngelo contract would be a little more $ & term, but don't hate this. I think if you move DeAngelo at some point instead of overpaying him basically be your 3rd pair+PP guy, you find a trade for him and just sign a cheap UFA like Trevor vanRiemsdyk. I also think Fast would move on with the hopes Vitali can fill out the right side too, othewise not bad

I think my comment went way over your head.. Loved the guy. But I'd rather Trouba as he is only 26. 4 years of troubs will be better than 4 years of McD. But I do miss him a lot! he is a great player and captain

This is ignoring goalies & dmen too. I'm not sure Panarin is even a top 10 player when you include them.</div></div>
Panarin was a top 3 player this year and is arguably going to be a top 5 player for next few years

i dont think this is smart for the rangers. The reason doesnt belong in pittsburgh is because he is a second line center. So now youre either putting on the second line in NY, or youre putting zibanejad on the second. Plus, he's old, and ryan strome has some good upside, same with Deangelo. Pittsburgh would take this in a heartbeat
