Leddy vs Tatar
Pass
i'd rather see what EDM will pay for him
Hollands looking for a cheap Winger to play top 6
Tatar fits the bill and Holland knows him well
might not get anything as extravagant as Puljujarvi but Rasanen or Lavoie on the other hand would be ideal with a pick . (lower pick if lavoie , higher is rasanen )
Leddy is just good enough to help us miss the playoffs by 1 pt instead of 2 this year giving us another late pick.
i'd rather just let Brook who plays LD as a right handed shot get the minutes over an again D who got a ring leading his team with a -8
(a half dozen worse then the next player)
which is why CHI played with 5 D in 2013 playing 19-27 minutes. they dumped Leddy before 2015 cup win playing 4 D 23-31 minutes and won again . Leddy gives up to many turnovers that lead to goals , its one thing if you're petry who messes up then hauls ass to break up the play or make the shooter think twice . Leddy's so fast that once he loses the puck by the time he stops and starts pacing back the opponents already at the top of the circle and scoring on your goalie .
Brook was the final cut from camp last year and had Benn not been here i still think he coulda started last year (both AHL and NHL coach's were high on his ''elite skating ability'' ,Timmons even compared him to Subban and he can he drafted them both in the 2nd )

Yeah, this team is going to be exciting! I feel like Suzuki, Poehling and Brook could all be a part of the team this year. Then, it will be Romanov, Caufield and Ylonen's turns.

Forward lines are good, I dont think there is really a right or wrong way of putting them together, either way MTL should have 4 solid lines.
I started Juulsen in the AHL because he doesn't require and waivers and could probably use the extra icetime after last years injury.

My top 10 Prospect what you think
All that matters is that we have 5-6 A prospects when most teams have 1-2 maybe 3. Suzuki has 70pts potential in him, Caufield is a 40 goal scorer, Romanov a less offensive Provorov (could still produce 30-40pts) and Poehling a two-way 50+ pts C with leadership qualities. Brook could turn out to be a 40+pts Dmen... He's that good. The way he move the puck and his IQ are both amazing! He's also pretty solid defensively and seems to have a great attitude. Cayden Primeau: futur number one goalie of this team. We only need Lafrenière...

Mine was more about value. Romanov ceiling is definitely higher but Poehling has a much better chance to reach his potential than Romanov in my opinion. In any case, can't wait to see this next generation in a few years.

Ehlers vs Suzuki Juulsen
Yeah, Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov are all untouchable considering their potentials. Suzuki might become a 70pts player in this league... You don't trade those prospects. Ehlers is overrated and had a bad season last year. Value of players are mostly based on their last performances. That's why Suzuki's value is so high and Drouin, for instance, lower than expected.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>Philly or mtl probably could pull it off, I think bergevin missed his shot on aho by 2 million, he gets to 2 firsts 1 second and a 1 3rd and that would have made them pause a bit, probably get to at least a 60/40 or 70/30 on matching or not, and 10.6 and 4 firsts and that probably gets it to 90/10 or 100/0 on not matching</div></div>
Philly cant...they are way up now...esp with Konecny and Provorov needing to sign

5 years 10.5m is 2 firsts a second and a third. I don't know if Winnipeg matches. Value wise, Laine is worth more than that package, but AAV wise, is he?

Complete Rebuild
we're not as far off as people think .
Suzuki and Brook are likely to both earn jobs.
Suzuki will have to play wing to do it and Brook LD but both players have experience playing those positions.
Romanov coming off year 1/2 of his KHL contract turned Pro and took to D honors at WJC then followed it up by winning a Gagarin Cup
his first season . Entering his final year as Reigning KHL Champ at just 19 i expect him to make a big impact his year at WJC and in the playoffs again
come 2020-21 he'll be in a habs uniform
Caufield is close as a goal Scorer but not as an Athlete .
he's never played in a system similar to NHL with long road trips and playoffs just round robins and games around school .
dont get me wrong , he's a stud but he'll need 1-2 years depending if he goes NCAA or OHL(OHL can help conditioning ,NCAA just fine tunes every other area but)
KK is here and established
Poehling put on 40lbs of muscle and grew and inch becoming the biggest Center prospect we got .
he's quick, powerfull and opted out of an off season to prepare for a full 82 game season at the NHL level .
if we put him with Byron and a big guy like Armia to start off i think you'll see an impact.
but he'll hit another level when his buddy Caufield gets to the NHL , they put on quite the show at Camp .
Short term we're looking at potentially having to move Tatar or Danault early depending on which youth steps up
