Trade for kopitar amp Risto to flames
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Propeller09</b></div><div>You are not getting anywhere close to Kopitar for that pile of garbage.
I think LA passes on 4 bottom 6 forwards and a 2nd rd pick for one of the top centers in the league.
It amazes me you think you could get a 1st for Ristolainan (who I actually like), but Kopitar doesn't.</div></div>
I dont think much of the trade, but kopitar is gonna make 10 million until he is 37. Not a lot of teams can make the cap hit work, or would want a player making that much at that age

Dallas needs Risto
Botterill should make a deal for Risto ASAP and cash in on the extremely high demand for big, offensive RHD, which are always in demand. Look at what VAN was willing to spend on Tyler Myers. I think Risto is actually worth a little more than your proposal, given his cap hit. He could be extremely valuable on a second or third pair for a contending team like DAL.

Leafs trade with Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jack_</b></div><div>the leafs laugh, they dont want/need either of them. risto isnt even a replacement level player</div></div>
Risto is at 3.7 GAR and .6 WAR which would make him Torontos 3rd best Dman (#1 RHD) in those catagories, which would put him at 2nd pair D which is what Risto is. Still i dont believe Toronto does this as I stated before, I also dont see Buffalo doing it

What they should have been paid-Toronto Edition
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigDog91</b></div><div>Mathews is not a top ten center. He is very good but extremely overrated and overpaid. He is benefits from having a better center playing on top line and taking all the tough assignments and matchups. Matthews is a liability in his own end and for anyone to say otherwise look at the stats. The leafs allow the most goals in the nhl. That is with a much improved defense. Wat that shows is the forwards including Matthews show no effort in the defensive zone.</div></div>
In all fairness I said he would fall somewhere in the 7-15 range depending on how you value certain things.

AA to Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>moli92</b></div><div>Its 14 games in for AA and 11 games in for Zadina... DET isnt just going to give up on them because of a tiny sample size... Zadina is only 19 and had a strong AHL season last year. a 2nd round pick doesnt make up for the difference between these players. BUF would have to add a lot</div></div>
I agree with you, but man I hear a lot of the same stuff we were saying about Nylander in your statement about Zadina. Hope it turns out better for you guys. Although we were able to flip Nylander for a young great top 4 D so I guess it wasn't to bad in the end. We just held on to every last strand of hope because of his draft position and name sake.

if Winnipeg asks for Reinhart its 1for1, and even then I wouldn't do it

LOL, what a laugh, did you actually read what i wrote? "I would never presume to Sheary is equal to Kase"
Did you read "upgrade that Kase would provide"
Did you actually go to the 2 sites I posted?
So where did I say Sheary is close to Kase, your comment shows your bias, as you fail to comprehend what is actually said.
Finally, Kase p1/60 was 74th in the league, while very good (good 2nd line winger status), not top 10ish. This is the obvious evidence that you are overvaluing Kase.

Because we just got way worse up front. Reino is a more complete player and is worth more to the sabres than Laine is. Makes no sense to make the first trade.

Stick to the highlight reels.</div></div>
I mean that's literally what Laine is though. He is a an elite goal scorer but that's it. Even the stats back that up

As a Winnipeg fan, I say yes. I like the value for both sides and I think that if Winnipeg were to acquire Ristolainen, the deal would be very similar to this.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>Tage Thompson is bordering on being a bust and is headed to the AHL this year. Scandella has negative value. Zucker scores goals and is on a great contract.</div></div>
If Thompson is a bust the Sabres do not have any decent prospects. He was the best performer at the French Connection 3 on 3 and was given the Rammer award as the hardest working participant.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigDog91</b></div><div>Thompson is no where near bust and will get a shot in top six this year. He is young and on great contract.
Zucker is not on great contract any more with Connolly and dzingel signing cheaper contracts and producing at better rate like I stated earlier. He is good not great player. He did not produce enough to be top line player and barley enough to be top six.</div></div>
While I think Zucker is a good player, he is over paid for his output and I do not think he the player the Sabres need.
I agree that Thompson will be given a shot at the top 6. He was awesome after being sent down to Rochester and performed exceptionally well in the FC 3 on 3. Big players take longer to develop, and he is a very big player. Let's not trade for Zucker and keep Thompson.

Trade for risto
I’ve not fallen in love with Roslovics game. The jets have been in the same position Buffalo is in (trash at 2C) and JR has not been able to make that step, even stepping between elite wingers (2 of Laine, Connor, Ehlers, and Wheeler). Why should I think he succeeds in BUF?
That being said if the rubber hits the road I would accept this trade, with the added condition that if the Jets make the playoffs and Risto gets 40pts, the 2 turns into a 1st.
