Dach would have around 60pts if not injured as a 22 years old center 6.4
Nothing about Holloway but the value is closer than a Kovacevic than Kirby Dach. I’m not saying Kovy is a good fit for you tho because like you said Vinny already have this 6D giant guy spot

Accelerating the rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>He's worth Mesar++
What do you think Mesar is worth?</div></div>
I don't value Kakko that much. He has potential but a late 1st is probably the max I'd be willing to give up which is close to the value of Mesar. If it's Mesar Habs probably add another later pick, 3rd or something, if it's a pick by its self then it's Winnipeg's 1st.
Kakkos value is mostly determined by the risk a team is willing to take with him, maybe you get a rebuilder who pays more to take that chance but I don't see teams lining up to give up a 1st ++ for him

I like BOTH of these deals. I know you're getting a lot of flack but these check a.lot of boxes for me.
1) Habs get bigger at forward
2) Habs acquire a few younger players who are former top 15 picks in the same age range as the other young players on the team
3) Lots of upside for the entire top 6
Who cares about futures 3-5 years from now. We need to get better now.

Necas has reached 70 points (or been on pace for 70 points over a goal 82 game season) once in a six year career. Stick to facts; he’s on pace for 57 points this year which is right in line with his career ave to date; hardly elite.

I just don't see Necas being a good fit for a trade to MTL.
He is likely worth a lot, probably worth at the very least the 9th OA pick. Canes and MTL will not find a deal to make it work.

This is definitely not enough for Necas
It should start AT LEAST with Mike Matheson + WPG 1st round pick IF Carolina doesn't plan on extending Brady Skjei ... even then Nikishin has another year in Russia and then he would jump right away on the top 4 with Slavin extension

Another 2-goal night for Newhook last night... Demote him!
Just kidding! I like Lundell a whole lot too! I think Newhook has an under-rated scoring touch though, and in the right circumstance I can see him putting up 25-30 goals a season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Big_Papa20</b></div><div>Fair deal as a Habs fan. I’d say Lindstrom is their guy given their obsession with size</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>Well done! Like all 3 of the UFA targets. Don't see Kyle going after two top 6 forwards, but I like the idea! I'm also a fan of the trade too. If the Hawks end up w/ the 3rd pick overall, I'm all for swapping it for the '24 Habs 1st and another '25 1st. I'd be gun shy to take Demidov at #3. And all the other top guys in this class after Celebrini, Leshevnov and Demidov are about equal so trading down 4 or 5 spots is fine.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LivingAnew</b></div><div>Hmmm... This is an interesting idea. My first reaction as a Hawks fan is that no way we pass on Lindstrom if he's there at #3 OA. Then I re-read a review of Catton's prospect profile and WOW... he'd be a terrific winger with Bedard.
At some point, I think the Hawks have to seek elite talent WITH SIZE. Which is why I surmise they'd still prefer Lindstrom at #3 (if he's there).
Gonna be interesting to see what happens on the draft board this year, once Celebrini is gone.</div></div>
Seems like both sides seem pretty intrigued by this idea so I will call that a win

Its also about the right veteran for their plethora of kids on defense. Hes a valuable player to have for the next 2 yrs, so they'll really only part with him to get what they want

Zegras based on PLD
PLD was traded twice, once for Laine (another high potential forward that needed a change) and the other trade netted WPG Vilardi which would be similar to Dach from MTL.
There is nothing high end in this package going to Anaheim. Would you accept Anderson, Mesar, a late 1st, and Harris for Caufield?

Thread:
Zegras based on PLD
<strong>IF</strong> they were considering trading Zegras at all, which I firmly believe that they're not since his trade value is at its lowest point, the Ducks would be looking for quality in one or two assets for him, as <a href="/users/Subbanator7667" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Subbanator7667</a> accurately implies above. (Substituting Reinbacher or Montreal's own 2024 first for the two firsts in his offer would be an acceptable formulation.) Harris is redundant in light of Anaheim's strength and depth at LhD and Josh Anderson is a minus, not a plus.
By the way, your statement that Vilardi took off <strong>after</strong> the trade to Winnipeg is demonstrably false. He had a career total of 37 points over his first three seasons (totaling 89 games) with Los Angeles and 41 points in 63 games playing third-line minutes his last year with the Kings.

But PLD explicitly wanted out of Winnipeg, and also said he would only sign in a couple places. Anaheim has no reason to move on from Zegras unless they are blown away by an offer (which this does not do).
