Hellebuyck
Maybe for Blackwood and 2nd overall. I know he’s had a couple meh years but the jets should be competing for a cup, trading away a vezina goalie doesn’t make sense unless it’s an overpay

Another Florida-Winnipeg Deal
I was about to try a Wheeler+ for Weegar/Hornqvist lol. I’d maybe take the remaining cap to keep Statsny and make Barron/Appleton a healthy scratch when everyone is healthy. Puljujarvi I could take or leave tbh. Love Paul, could also go with Lehkonen or similar. Depends who would sign in Winnipeg

A Gaudreau Signing Option
This team would be awesome to watch! If Hughes, Holtz, Slaf made big impacts as rookies I could see them making the playoffs over Pittsburgh or Washington. Goal is concerning if Bernier isn’t coming back tho

3 way trade idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>U probably need to work in a fourth team that Seattle possibly retains on scheifele and gets a package for scheifele. Not sure scheifele window and Seattle window matches up. Interesting idea though, was thinking something similar with Arizona and a Arizona retained scheifele ends up on a contender in the east.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tsyls</b></div><div>Agreed. VAN needs more for Boeser. Idea is interesting though. .</div></div>
Okay what about Boston instead? A contender looking for a great 2C. Boston could send a first to Van instead of the 2 2nds, and probably Carlo would have to go the Jets way

Ooo okay, maybe scheifele for provorov isn’t that far off!

I don’t know if Philly really wants to push coots, Hayes, and Laughton back down to 2-4, and I kinda feel depending on the health of Ellis one team will fleece the other, but it just makes sense lol</div></div>
Big risks for sure. They would immediately have the C depth to compete with the best in the league tho

Maybe, but there’s zero chance Philly trades him right?

I agreed I’d say RW or RD with serious potential. If there’s any way to get a Braden Schneider or an Arthur Kaliev type prospect

Yeah I guess. If they miss out on Chychrun there won’t be many better options though. I think he’d be an upgrade as a partner for McAvoy no?

Based on the way certain players are playing TEAM CANADA
Dubois over Scheifele is bold but accurate right now. Toews and Kadri have definitely played into the conversation. If Canada doesn’t win gold it will probably be the goaltending that lets them down

Scheifele
Hmmm tempting. Scheif won’t be going anywhere, he’s the future captain and face of the franchise, but the value is probably fair. Gives the Jets a future top 6 of:
Connor Dubois Ehlers
Lafreniere Perfetti Lucius

also unrelated question, why's beaulieu at RW</div></div>
Connor has proved so far he’s among the best LW in the game, Scheif has shown no reason to bring down his rating, and yeah ok maybe Schmidty isn’t all that but he’s been excellent at both ends in his first 10 games in a Jets uniform

I’d keep Perfetti and Schmidty over Carlo and Smith 8 days a week, picks be damned.
If we trade away Wheeler IMO we can’t afford to retain salary, and we really don’t need laine back as much as I miss him too. Ehlers has filled his role, and Copp has proven he’s a valuable top 6 forward who can do a bit of everything. If we let him walk I’ll cry lmao

I pray Dallas misses this year Sorry in advance
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheMooterus</b></div><div>As a Stars fan, I hope we miss the playoffs too. I'm tired of Dallas being a middle of the pack team. Nill is too inept to pull off a full "win now" mode & he's too stubborn to actually commit to rebuilding around our youth. I would rather Dallas royally suck for a couple of years, hit the draft hard, focus largely on development, and actually compete for a Cup as Benn & Seguin's contracts are expiring. Being the 14th best team in the league year in & year out does absolutely nothing for the future of the organization.</div></div>
I agree with this thinking but man, what the Buffalo Sabres would give to be 14th in the league every year…

Agreed. He’ll be the first call up, it’s one of the biggest reasons they brought the Moose back, so they could move guys to/from the AHL with no travel time
