I don’t think it would lead to a drastic change on the expansion draft obviously it can be a forward or d man which changes it to an extent but I think JBB is prepared for 17/18/9 one of them in Seattle if it’s 27 then things could get interesting but I think the most likely out come and more so to happen is we still come into next season with these guys for sure -> 86/91/81/88/77/21/71/98

Exactly it does help both teams In a sense ! Just again it would be a last resort kinda move for TB but the return they get is definitely a fascinating one

Very fair deal on Cirelli I think it’s something to be looked at if they can’t clear cap so I can’t say it won’t happen but if someone doesn’t take on 2 of the following Johnson Palat Killorn Gourde then ya Cirelli will maybe be looked at

Even with that being said Cirelli is towards the bottom of that trade list obviously ahead of guys like Kuch point Vasy Hedman etc but still at the bottom doubt he even goes

You know what to be fair it’s hard to predict the NHL trade market back when TB traded JT Miller he had a decent deal , and had age on his side slightly at the time hence the first rounder there Killer has term the AAV isn’t bad and everything
Just his production I can’t see getting a first

For me it’s more then a fair a deal for Sergachev I just don’t see him being moved I can see TB still moving that mid tier forward group even if it costs assets

I do agree with you that deal was more so for a team who needs a d man for that type of a pick I should of mentioned of that in the trade that was not directly for Jets

That’s a deal I figured they would take helps the cap issues slightly but still gets them bottom 6 forwards that can play and maybe I’m wrong but gets the blues a player that they need or the style of game he brings that they need if that makes sense

My attempt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>Here’s the thing. Tyler Johnson is owed a 5 AAV contract for the next 3 years after this one. Cap space value has got to be at an all time high and I don’t think Tampa will try to fake another injury for a superstar (for legal reasons that was a joke). With that being said, a first round pick that is likely to be around 28-31 is not even close to enough value to take on that contract. Consider what Toronto had to pay to get rid of one year of MARLEAU.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>A bit steep for doing Tampa a cap favor by taking Killorn, who is coming off a natural regression year at age 31. There is a world where the Blues would pay that for Palat, but not for Killorn.</div></div>
Appreciate the feed back!

Kucherov isn’t exempt but would be protected no matter what but I would not be shocked if one of Gourde or Killorn weren’t protected and Seattle can swipe one of them
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamesy</b></div><div>I wouldn't be surprised if the Lightning protect McDonagh, Hedman, Sergachev and Cernak. I believe Kucherov is exempt cuz he missed the whole season (I could be wrong tho), then they can protect Point, Cirelli, Stamkos, and probably Colton. Leaving Killorn and Gourde exposed.</div></div>

I agree with this 110% won if the better Cirelli deals I’ve seen on here but again I agree he won’t be moved despite TB being cap strapped most of that core won’t be moved guys like Kuch, Cirelli , Point , Hedman , Vasy , Stammer maybe even Sergachev can’t see those names being dealt
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Florida_Man_Maroon</b></div><div>Your value is better than most of the Cirelli trades I’ve seen, but I still hold firm to my belief that Cirelli will not be moved.</div></div>

Sacrifices that have to be made
There are multiple things out confirming the Kuch thing was done right, most of NTC become modified and sure more players will likely to be moved in the 4.5-6 mill players area guys like Johnson Palat Killorn Gourde Mcdonagh not saying all of them but certainly 2-3 three of them plus multiple prospects and picks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Those NTCs could make things very tough. The NHL is closely watch TBL considering the whole Kuch "ironic timing" situation.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rangsey</b></div><div>True. I don't know if buying out Johnson is the best move this season because he's still a 2.7 million cap hit next season. The 2.3 million dollar of space you bring in isn't enough to sign Cirelli or Serg and it's gonna cost more than 2.3 to replace his production.</div></div>
Fair enough either then perhaps Killorn and maybe Johnson traded who else goes Palat ?

Oh they do get waived and I think he will waive as well. I’m just meaning there is the buy out option as well.
