Ok, some of the Kuzy trades today have been wildly unfair to Colorado, but this isn't great for us. We don't need a defenseman unless we give one up, and I would put money down on the Caps not retaining more than 2 mil on Kuzy's contract.

Maybe if another team was the one eating his contract then it could work, but again, we have our top 6 D for next year pretty much locked.

I really like Schmaltz to DC, but if you're getting #8, we'd want Keller. We'd have to add to it, but I don't think #8 is in play for anyone other than Keller, Nylander, Bratt, and maybe DeBrincat or Ehlers

I like the idea here, but I don't see any of these 4 teams accepting. Minnesota probably won't give up Rossi considering their cap crunch and lack of center depth, you could probably get DeBrincat if you take Mantha out, Keller will most likely cost more than DeBrincat, and Oshie would be a cap dump at this point if we were to move on from him, which we shouldn't.
In my humble opinion of course.

Jarnkrok is actually pretty good for what he is. Voit looks like he could be a decent middle lineup option down the line. Timmins is serviceable depth.
