oilers win. pens get younger, but crosby imo is still better then mcdavid, and malkin is easily better then draisaitl. that dont mean mcdavid and draisaitl are bad. all 4 are elite elite talents

I get what you’re saying but I hate when people make this type of argument. The leadership factor does not matter if you can’t play. But toews and bergeron still can play. They have skill AND the leadership factor. Richard has the leadership factor but not the skill anymore. So pretty obvious why you don’t sign him. All people try to say is that they have leadership aspect to their game and people go swinging for fences saying they’ll sign some 70 year old dude because he was a leader when they played.
I’m not giving input on toews vs Bergeron...

It depends on if Duchene and Stone resign. If they resign then yeah, Minnesota would probably win. If they don't then Ottawa all the way.

Toews is better defensively? Bergeron has won the Selke 4 times in the past 7 years, granted toews has won it too. But Defensively Bergeron has a big win. I think Chicago wins the trade though, I just dont see Toews working out as well in Boston.

This is a joke, right? Jets can not take on Seabrook's contract and sign their other players. Seabrooks's contract is an anchor and you will need to add something of value or take on a comparable bad contract.

Just a feeling and perlini is young but I don’t like how much mistakes he makes and the fact that he can’t get any points even tho played on the 1st line. Also I got to play the rookies that r playing great in their league at some point therefor perlini need to go to clear space. He’s a left wing player he’s not taking panarin or debrincats spots for sure in top 6 i want kurashev to play as he’s played great in his league and khuan is just a better player so I kept him instead of perlini.</div></div>
Man, we need a Hossa type player so bad!!!

Hopefully the Hawks are in contention to get Hughes which makes signing big Joe unnecessary. Im thinking he's only good for 40 games at this point anyway. Dont want Hinistroza back, and why trade Perlini?

Whoaaah. Settle down there. You have got it all wrong. Scheifele is our clear cut best player. As scheifele gets better and better the team gets better. I am not saying wheeler is not good, but it is like makinnon (scheifele) and rantannen (wheeler). No one is debating who is better. And Connor first of all is only p/gm with those two (currently he is on the second line). Heck i would not even make that trade for Matthews.
Finally players aren’t top 5 in points because they are surrounded by good players. It is because they are drivers for their team

LOL nobody is dumping AA...if you don't think AA isn't valuable, you haven't watched him. A 6th is laughable and shows me you don't know who he is. A guy who's a perrenail 20 goal scorer easily gets a 3rd. Hawks wanted a 2nd during the offseason and plenty of teams offered a 3rd but Hawks wouldn't bite.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Larkinisking</b></div><div>Trouba has specific teams in mind, He's linked to both Detroit, Tampa and Florida. Doubt he has any interest in Philly. Besides he's looking for around 7 x 7.5 or 7 x 8 can't see Philly offering him that much.</div></div>
You dont know about his preferences. He prob just wants to play in US because of his dads situation so he would want to be in US, thats it. Maybe he wants to go to Detroit. Of course he does, who would not want to play in his hometown.. yes and he does have home in Florida but half of the NHL has homes in florida.. that is irrelevant information and he does not have NTC so he can do **** about where he would be traded if he gets traded. He might get traded to coyotes to play in ****ing desert or to Florida Panthers to play in front of 2 fans if he is dick about signing contract again.. no player is bigger than club and I personally would love to play for Winnipeg even If my preference is my hometown and city or area where my main home is.. build your home in Winnipeg, its probably okay city, not like detroit which is not great city to live in from what Ive heard.. if he really doesnt want to be there ask for a fckn trade and go elsewhere I dont know, Philly is great place.. if i was him that is.. Why he didnt ask for a trade if he doesnt want to be on Jets? I would want to be on Jets. Contending team with bright future ahead playing on 1st pairing and constantly having to play with likes of Scheifele, Wheeler, Laine and so on. Sign the ****ing paper and play for the cup. You get to enjoy your next 30-40yrs if lucky after hockey wherever you want, probably on mars by that time..
Trouba is dick for acting like it. Doesnt like it in Jets uniform? ASK FOR A FCKN TRADE.. They would work it to fit you somewhere. Maybe you would be traded to Detroit maybe not.. he would tell his preferences to Cheveldoesntgetanydayoff and he would work the best deal possible.. why having arbitration each year?.. gosh Trouba is stupid for doing what he is doing..

I think they should consider it. He’s yet to show a lot and potentially his value could be at its height. It’s probably a bit concerning that guys like Rasmussen, Thomas, and Mittelstadt were drafted behind him and already out scoring him. Honestly, I’d see how he dies with a new coach before I do anything.

Straight up it would be. But Philly and WPG would exchange players on positions they lost so it would be Trouba and Perreault (center) for Patrick and Gudas (RHD) imo.

Any of these work
If I'm the GM and the owner gives me the directive to trade VT (the only way I'd even consider it), here's my list of needs:
- NHL player that has top6/top4 upside
- elite prospect
- 1st round pick
The most important part, and the hardest to get, is the elite prospect. I'd want to find someone with serious star potential if I'm moving 4.5 years of elite scoring. But the potential alone won't cut it, so I want the current NHL player in the package. That way, even if the prospect busts (most don't live up to the hype) I have something on the roster to show for it. 1st round picks are often overvalued on this site, especially those outside of the top 15. The pick makes for a good throw in to get some value, but it isn't the centerpiece of the trade. If for some reason the deal is with a non-playoff team, the 2nd round pick is probably subbed in for the lotto pick (or the roster player is of lower value and the lotto pick brings more of the value).
some example starting points, most of which won't make sense for both teams:
Pesce, Necas, 1st
Bertuzzi, Zadina, 2nd
Skjei, Kravtsov, 2nd
Kreider, Chytil, 2nd
Beauvillier, Dobson, 1st
Puljujarvi, Bouchard, 1st
C. Miller, Brannstrom, 1st
C. Miller, Glass, 1st
Virtanen, Q Hughes, 2nd
It's a pretty difficult thing to do, to trade for good value for an elite player. In practice, it often doesn't work out for the selling team, which is why my original point of not trading Tarasenko seems to be the safest bet. Look at the returns for Hall, Subban, Panarin, Seguin, etc. If you could repeat the Voracek, Couturier, and Cousins for Carter trade, that would be great, but it often doesn't work out like that.

I mean the only one I would take would be the LA one but thats because they have a high chance of getting the #1 overall pick and doubt they move that pick.
Also Calgary, Vegas and CAR ones are close if you add another solid piece.
But they are all just decent players with a 1st. Blues will want an equal level elite young player or huge package of high level prospects and picks for Vladi

Is This Enough For Burakovsky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Brady0369</b></div><div>No way! I understand he’s having a slow season but u never know he’s young and he could be like domi and play elite next season. I always think till they r 25 their development is not over. Unless ur a goalie... u can be 27 and play ur first game and then win 2 cups (Crawford)</div></div>
...and Thomas.
Over the last four years, Burakovsky's in the top 186 forwards in G (50) A (70), Pts (120), ESG (44), P/60, etc. He consistently scores like a top six forward (if six times thirty-one is 186). I'm not worried about when he's going to live up to expectations. He was drafted two spots after Gauthier, who has nine career points, has been a healthy scratch all year, and isn't mentioned much in trade rumors, strangely.
