More sandpaper more goals
Tampa Bay declines instantly. There is literally nothing in that package from Buffalo the Bolts want. Not to mention this trade has Tampa adding over $6m in cap hit, which they can't afford.

Opening night lines
Looks good, though I'm really hoping ABB finally shows something at an NHL level with us.
Hopefully playing 2RW with Stamkos lets him show off his offensive ability a little more and he finally start producing.
Would love to see Merela get regular minutes at some point
Gotta get a backup for JJ though.

Most Underrated Defenseman in the NHL
Of these options I’d say Sergachev, but I think Spurgeon would be my answer for most underrated in the whole league

Hagel for 6.5. I'm pretty happy with that number tbh.

would this be a fair trade
Stamkos 33 yo 84 and 106 pts
Ovi 38 yo 75 and 90
Stamkos still also plays center a good portion of the time and one of the better face-off guys in the league

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTBF81</b></div><div>It's unfortunate that because they went out and paid that ridiculous price for Jeannot, and now of course won't get rid of him because of it, that the cap wasn't there apparently for Colton and probabaly not there for Killorn. Having either Killorn or Colton moving ahead would seem to be far better than seeing Jeannot on the team.</div></div>
Agreed. The worst case scenario in my mind now is if Killorn doesn't resign, and Jeannot gets way more money than everyone is anticipating. I still am reserving judgement on Jeannot, along with other reasonable people. Yeah Julien gave up a boatload, but TJ will have a great opportunity to prove his worth this year. But yeah I wouldve much rather preferred to keep Colton. Jeannot would have been nice to get, if it wasn't for so damn much

Pass on Pacioretty as of right now. Broberg would be nice if we didn't have to give up one of our best prospects. I don't think we should trade Howard. I'm fine with moving on from Maroon if Bellemare or Perry aren't brought back. He was our #12 last year.

the hagel trade is not close, he is 24 coming off of a 64 point season. He is also only making 1.5 this year and jenner is making 3.75 so the lightning could not afford him anyway.

2022 Lightning Off-season Discussion
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoopsTroops</b></div><div>I don't know if today made us a better team for next season or the future, but there's certainly less uncertainties about the roster's future.</div></div>
For sure the Lightning will be a contender this year, and probably will be in 2023-24 and 2024-25 too. But I worry that the enormous term on so many of these contracts JBB is handing out (not to mention the cap hit) is going to turn the Lightning into the next Sharks-stuck with a bunch of once-good-but-now-old/aging contracts that you have to literally pay other teams to take off your hands. I don't worry about Point, Kuch, Hedman, Vasi, even Cirelli etc. But giving that much money to Sergachev and that much term to Cernak is inexcusable barring a drastic change in either Sergachev's play or Cernak's durability. And for the life of me I don't understand why they're keeping Myers.

After what he did this post season. Im all but convinced Cirelli is the next captain of the Tampa Bay lightning. Give Point an A. Let Kuch be Kuch.</div></div>
After Stamkos and Hedman are both gone, I’d bet money the next captain is Point. Not that Cirelli isn’t a leader but Point seems to be the future of the team.
