Edmonton isn't moving Ceci. He's been playing 1RD for them, and effectively too. At just $3.25M he's a fantastic value deal.
No dice.

But seriously. CBJ don't need depth guys. We have a glut of Fs as is.

just an idea
I think if the Oilers wanted a young goalie they would have taken Wallstedt last draft. Doesn't make much sense to trade NHL ready prospect for goalie that could use couple more seasons to develop at least in the Oilers current state.

I think Husso is that nice middle ground of upside but not as sexy of a name as flower or kuemper so to keep away the big game hunters from snatching him a stupid number. He's a guy that along with skinner can continue to grow with the team and I'd rather risk it on a young goalie looking for a shot than old guys on their last legs. I think Husso would be fine here largely since this group of skaters and coach are making Koskinen and smith look above average which is nuts. I'd say husso would be target #1, target #2 might be campbell (but I don't like him at anything close to expensive) target #2 would be a holtby type as a 1a to skinner 1b.</div></div>
I wouldn't touch holtby too inconsistent and said he doesnt want to play for edmonton.

Realistic Ideal Offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bringer_Of_Snow</b></div><div>Fine with the contracts handed out aside from Husso.
The idea of him is slowly growing on me as I don't trust Hollands ability to swing a good trade for a starter, and Husso is pretty much the only good free agent. But the max I would becomfortable giving him is Dreidgers $3.5Mx3. The sample size is just way too small to commit anything more. And as we have seen, Dreidgers numbers look a lot different when going from Florida to Seattle. Nurse/Keith/Bouchard/Barrie/Ceci is a pretty big drop off defensively speaking from Krug/Faulk/Parayko/Bortuzzo/Scandella/Leddy</div></div>

Please Retire DK
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bringer_Of_Snow</b></div><div>We happy going into year 8 of McDavid with that goaltending duo? Really? Like we are ok with that?
I am praying Keith retires. He has been bad more often than good and tying up nearly $6M is crippling to this team. Not that Holland would be smart with all the money we'd get from Keith retiring, but still.
Really hoping Smith is done too. At least he doesn't have a NMC. He can either ride the season on the LTIR or enjoy being away from his family in Bakersfield. I am concerned that Holland has too much respect for Smith.
Fine with the Kassian deal. Needs to be off this team.
From what I have heard, Armia isn't great, so don't think taking on 3 years of his deal is worth it. Not worth it.
Like all the RFA contracts you gave. All team friendly while still being relatively generous to the players.
The more and more I see Kane play, the more and more I want them to keep him. Ideally a $4M x 3 years contract is what he gets, but if he goes off in playoffs, I'd be inclined to give a little more.
Feel like I'd want to keep Barrie still. I think he is a punching bag for absolutely no reason. He is paid as a #4 dman, looks good on the pp, and is a good puck move. We do not have enough of that to make him expendable imo.</div></div>
First and foremost, this is a great comment with actual dialogue.
1. No, that goaltending Duo is no where near good enough. The issue I have is who can the Oilers get this offseason realistically? Keumper likely resigns in COL, Campbell no thanks, Fluery won't come, Husso maybe but he scares me
2. Keith & Smith both should retire and I hope they do, if they do the bigger question is how does KH spend that money
3. Kassian is either dumped or bought out imo, that being said Myers could play in a 3rd pair role
4. Armia is having a very down season, but in the past he has played as a responsible 2 way fwd. Perhaps you could get MTL to retain more salary but in a 3rd line role I think he could succeed in EDM
5. Tuch is the contract comp for JP & Kapanen is the contract comp for Yam
6. Kane has been a great add for EDM, I would prefer a 2 yr deal with guys like Holloway & Broberg needing deals in 2024/2025
7. Barrie is a valuable player, possibly worth a 1st round pick to some teams. My issue with him is I see him as a redundancy due to Bouchard, who moves the puck well on the PP and 5v5 (yes there are still some growing pains happening).

If Kassian is a cap dump, so is Armia. Crazy that you'd trade a 2nd for the guy.
If Keith retires, Edmonton will have a $86M cap limit.

Kulak, given what he cost, I could easily see pushing Keith down the the 3rd pairing. Keith is a disaster moving the puck so hopefully Kulak can help with that</div></div>

how much
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bringer_Of_Snow</b></div><div>Doesn't seem like a good deal for either team. Flyers lose their franchise goalie and don't get an established roster player or a sure-fire prospect. The Oilers lose all their valuable draft picks for 3 years.
I think the value favours the Flyers, as mentioned already, thats a pretty large return of draft capital.
If Hart were to become available, I feel like it would make more sense to dial it back on the picks and include players like Yamamoto, Skinner, maybe even a Broberg etc. Skinner has some value, and if you're trading for Hart, no need for him anymore. A player like Yamo gives them a tenacious forward who is in the lineup right away and can pitch in offensively. I just feel like it makes more sense for the Flyers to get something a little more established. But I do also acknowledge the Oilers may want to keep as many roster players as possible, and would prefer to move futures. Somewhere in the middle would make the most sense.</div></div>
I would include xavier and samorukov in there no problem in place of a first and third rounder. I'd run hart and skinner 41 games a year each.

how much
I can see why many would say no from both sides (selling the farm and selling franchise goalie),but as the Flyers I'd take it. That kind of draft capitol doesn't come along too often. I'm willing to regress a bit in net short term for what I'm getting long term.

TDL moves
Go from having no puck moving d for years and years finally get a couple and first thing on to do list is trade the one that lead all d in points just last year and talk of possibly benching Bouchard. Is the goal to defend really well but stay in own zone because can’t advance the puck? Nothing wrong with having two solid puck movers makes having two pp units much easier. If looking at adding a veteran d to toughen it up a bit why not look at the left side and have Niemelianen as an extra? Russell is at best a 7th d his health has been far too questionable to expect playing a consistent role unfortunately. I’m high on add Braun for depth but not as a replacement

Giving Barrie away just to overpay to add holl? I don’t get it but also don’t feel like getting into another Barrie debate.
Husso doesn’t make sense for Edmonton. Can’t go into next season thinking two inexperienced guys can carry the load. Need a veteran to split the job with skinner.
