Marner To Carolina
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kinger25</b></div><div>Leafs would decline both trades and so would marners nmc hes a hometown boy and retires a leaf and yet there’s at least 3 trades a day sending him out man oh man some people don’t have a clue</div></div>
If he retires a Leafs then kiss the chances of the Leafs winning a cup within the next decade goodbye.

What if we trade Marner
Trading Marner before his NMC kicked in was the right idea but too late for that now.
They need to fire Shanahan fast because he is the moron keeping this team from winning a cup.
Shanahan fired Dubas as soon as he mentioned trading one of the core four so fire Shanahan , he has no clue.
And if there were a remote chance of |Marner to waive his NMC it would have to be a huge market team where he can continue to make tons of money on endorsements and commercials because money is more important to him then hockey.

Why Not 13 Just a couple tinkerings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RipNasty</b></div><div>No, a 4th liner isn't getting a 1st and Treliving can't pay a 1st to move him. May as well just fire himself if his first big decision ends up costing him a 1st to move him. So that's not happening. Larsson is on the wrong side of 30 and paying a 25 year old top 4 defenceman for a 30+ defenceman is not wise. And Samsonov hasn't lost that much value.
And finally, Brodie is much much much better than Zadorov. End of debate.
These are trades made to appease homers of the other teams. No rational or objective person would see it differently</div></div>
We are getting the Flyers 2nd rd pick back. They will probably only be 10 picks apart. We will have to pay to get rid of Klingberg, no matter how crappy it is.
IMO Leafs have maybe a 3-4 year window to win with this team, so Larsson will still be in his prime. Lily will still be a small, soft 6th RD that gets less than 10 points every year. Timmins will be better than him when healthy.
Yes Brodie is a better D but I’m addressing the Leafs needs and big Z will get good offers. It depends on what Cgy wants to do. If they want to try and stay competitive, they will want a good D in return or if they are rebuilding, they may prefer prospects and draft picks.
But we are just arguing opinions. I see your point of view but mine is just different.

Maybe just maybe at the TDL if they’re too far from a playoff spot they’ll give serious consideration but they’re gonna try to stick around as long as possible.</div></div>
They could flip the pick for equally good, maybe even better, dman. The delta between Klingberg and Dumba is not that much, especially when considering health risks.

Keep in mind, this deal takes Bertuzzi to 37. Given his injury history, and a guy like Hyman got 5.25x8 is a fair deal IMO. With Nylander, I think if he follows up the season he just had, with an 85-90 point campaign; that number will definitely be near 10 million. Robertson? Im hopeful he can get a few looks this season and prove he is worthy of a regular-NHL role. 2.5 may be a bit much, but Im hopeful

So what, what does wearing a jersey certain people want you to mean anything about hockey. Wear your jersey if you want, people don't care what you do at your place. When are the cat peoples jersey coming out next season. This is hockey not your personal platform about your sexual lifestyle.

2023-24 Players Leaf fans want I think
I'd rather keep Tip. Younger, not demanding a huge pay raise, and is looking to be a typical 25 to 30 goal scorer. Nylander may be better but the cost is way too high for a team not making the playoffs for a few more seasons.
