I don’t think we’ll be as good as that. Rangers could offer much more but Tampa lacks leverage.

Tavares is going to fall off next year. Hard. Stamkos was always better anyways. Cheaper too. Toronto should be adding. Significantly.

Teams usually value their players have their most recent season. Well at least most players that have been sold off.

Would love to hear why the Rangers don’t block your number after this proposal?
Strome is a 60 point center. Zuccarello is a long-term cap anchor in a flat cap environment.

kings fans - who stays down the middle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>The Kings wouldn't have traded a 2nd round pick for him if they didn't think so. He could do well with a change of scenery. If he doesn't work out, then he doesn't work out.
However, neither Kupari nor Thomas are suited for the left side. If Andersson doesn't work out, then the Kings will re-sign Iafallo and keep him long term.</div></div>
I’d get those conversations started.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Assuming you mean after Kopitar is gone, then it's Byfield, Vilardi, Madden, Anderson-Dolan.
Turcotte and Andersson will probably be moved to LW. Kupari and Thomas are likely slated for RW.
However, the Kings also have Fagemo and Kaliyev that will fit in on the right side, so I suspect that Thomas is expendable. One of Kupari or Thomas will likely be traded.
Long-term using only current prospects:
Turcotte-Byfield-Kaliyev
Andersson-Vilardi-Fagemo
Kempe-Madden-Kupari
Grundstrom-JAD-Wagner</div></div>
Lias Andersson is not a top 6 player. I’d much rather keep Akil Thomas and/or Rasmus Kupari.

Weegar
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>Ok you’re entitled to your opinion but calling Jost a bust is a cosmic joke. In the current environment guys like him are worth their weight not in gold but say copper. He is 22 on a 1yr deal at under 900k, can play all phases of the game and if given a chance imo he is a 40pt guy. But everybody craps in him because he was drafted 10th overall, see what some of his draft class mates have done. He forced his way on a stacked team by being willing to do the small things instead of going to the AHL where he would have dominated and helped his development. It’s such a nonsensical take that he is a bust.</div></div>
You being this upset just shows my point further. The guy accepted his QO.

I never said Toews was better than Weegar or vice versa. I’m simply stating the fact that cherry-picking the good from Jost is not justifiable toward Weegar. It’s not a fair swap. Period.

You think Jost is worth Weegar straight up? If so I don’t know what to tell you. Those reporters are doing a poor job and should watch these players play. Weegar is a top 4 defenseman and should be fairly affordable. Jost is a bust who’s barely keeping his spot in the lineup with Colorado. 23 points with this loaded team is nothing to call home about. Weegar is worth more and that’s why Sakic went for Toews. Don’t read Tea leaves to much. They tend to be frustrating to watch when reality sets in.

Believe Panthers would like to see Timmins or Bowers in that deal. That trade is fairly underwhelming for a top 4 defender likely only getting $4M on his next deal. Joe Sakic is a good general manager but that’s a reach.

Trade with the 2014 Stanley Cup Champions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Their value is the same. I'm not suggesting they're similar style players.
Change the players going back to Akil Thomas and Sean Durzi and the Kings might consider it. A middle-six winger isn't worth two high-end prospects.</div></div>
It most certainly is not. You’re being biased. Nils Lundkvist has broken several offensive records on a much better Lulea team and has higher stature. Drafted in the first round rather than a mid 2nd rounder of Grans and his less impressive Malmo Red Hawks team.

Even if they could, Buchnevich is almost 26 years old. All of the quality players on the Kings are between 18-21. There's no reason for them to trade two young players (both of whom have higher ceilings than Buchnevich) for a guy that will be 30 by the time the Kings are ready to compete again.</div></div>
Understandable. If an extension came with the trade would you believe it’s still a no?

Not to sure. He’s listed as a C/RW/LW so assuming he is predominately a center.
