Well, Lohrei isn't ready and they should keep Grzelcyk for now. Could make a case either way for Garland.

Improving the center depth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Stutzle is like Zegras. Sure he's flashy and can put up some big numbers, but he's not winning your team any games. He's a complete void defensively and is a decent supplemental player, but if he's the best player on the team, your team isn't going anywhere.
The Kings are trying to develop Byfield into the franchise difference maker that they drafted him to be. Sure, it takes longer, but we're already starting to see the results of their patience this season.</div></div>
Stützle is flashy like Zegras?
“Flashy” is really just a deriding way of saying “skilled”…both Zegras and Stützle are elite young players who can absolutely help teams win. Byfield has size, and potential, but is a loooong way from those other two.

Improving the center depth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>If the Kings could take a mulligan on the 2020 draft knowing what they know now, I think they'd still take Byfield over Stutzle.</div></div>
Maybe Byfield over Lafreniere, etc….but no reason for any team to pass on Stützle.
I’d put Byfield behind Stützle, Sanderson, Mercer, Lundell, Jarvis…still very high, but not #1.

I could see NSH moving on from Fabbro. Trading him for an older, injury prone, much more expensive replacement is a hard pass though.

Leafs are in bad shape if he plays one minutes in the NHL.

Not sure if he has the build to play in the NHL this year, but heard reports that him and Lysell were far above everyone else at dev camp. We'll see what rookie camp and training camp hold for him.

They don't really need him to though. He's basically the internal replacement for Ekholm who has several good years left (I hope!). Until then they just need him to be one of the best 3rd pairing defensemen in the league, which he has already shown isn't an unrealistic expectation.

Hmm... 21 year old who posted a 58.65 xGF% playing 3rd pairing doesn't have what it takes to play 3rd pairing as a 22 year old? It's not even the next step - it's literally what he already proved he could do last year.

I think they'll run
Nurse-Ceci
Ekholm-Bouchard
Kulak-Broberg
Any acquisition would cut into Broberg's ice time, which he needs in order to take the next step. I'm not sure that would be productive... unless you're talking about moving Kulak out simultaneously and moving Broberg over to the left. I don't have a problem with that, as long as the RD you acquire is both better and cheaper than Kulak.

Boston Needs a Centre
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jetman</b></div><div>Yah, BOS will need their first as they'll suck in 2 years time</div></div>
With Swayman, a D-Core of Mcavoy/Lindholm/Carlo/Lohrei, a 60 goal scorer, 30+ mil in cap in a desirable market, I like where the Bruins will be in 2 years more than Winnipeg.
