Reinhart has took over 300 draws in the last 3 seasons.
Also florida has cap but not enough to bring back Reinhart/ montour and Lundell.
I doubt anyone takes knight until he shows flashes of his potential again. Bobrovsky is an unmoveable contract.
Moving Ekblad wouldn’t be smart.
If they sign all 3 ( Reinhart 9-9.5, Montour 6.5-7.5, Lundell 3-3.5) they have about 4 mill to fill 2 dman spots a whole 4th line and 1 3rd liner.
Even assuming sourdif and mackie make the roster on their ELC’s that would still leave them with having to fill 4 spots at less then nhl minimum

Yes because it a home run for them especially if they can resign Chandler.
Chandler is more valuable to Vegas then trading him for a goalie they don’t need (just keep Thompson and Hill):

I think a 3rd or 4th would be fair. I wouldn't mind seeing a package with him and Pacioretty either.</div></div>
I mean its not the cap thats the issue but just from the real dollar value alone that 1.25m difference (before being prorated) seems to be worth around a 4th or 5th based off the triple retention deals so far. throw in the 26 3rd and it's a deal.

I literally hate the concept of this deal. Two streaky players, but give me DeBrusk’s defense any day of the weak.
DeBrusk is in the 90th percentile in terms of EV defense. Bertuzzi is in the 20th percentile.
I’d be open to bringing Bertuzzi back in free agency, but zero interest in DeBrusk for him

My Picks On Who Is Making Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsGM37</b></div><div>I don’t see Boston missing that bad. They are a slam dunk to do worse. No way they put up 65 wins and 135 points. However, their defense is very good, they have players they can hold it down and also players who can score. They have big bodies to help with hitting, and also a little guys who can get that puck in the corner. Our goal tending is the same as last year again no way Ullmark does what he did this year, but he can win hockey games just like Swayman. Our offense is definitely worse. But we still have players that can get points. I see Boston being a playoff team just like I said last year.</div></div>
BOS have great D core and goalie tandem but the need C depth. If they get Bergeron and Krecji back or just Bergeron I'd think they would be really competing but until then they might drop quite a bit

All things considered not the worst return for BOS. re-uniting Mitchell with Monty is a good thing. The Hawks really messed up his development. I'm sure he'll at least start the season in providence, but look for him to push for an NHL role.

PHI - STL Deal
So far all we know is Hayes and Sanheim would be coming to the Blues and one of the Blues late first rounders + Krug going the other way..I'm assuming there's more to it, but Binner, Hart, and Deangelo are not. Also, Krug is refusing to waive his NTC for the Flyers, so that's the hold up, while they look for a 3rd team that he's willing to waive the NTC for.

It's not about Hall as a player but rather the position the Bruins are in and everybody else knows the position they're in. Add to that the flat cap for everyone else and very few teams can afford to add that hit. It's a pretty similar situation to when Patches was in Vegas.

Boston also have the problem, that all the other teams know that Bruins has very little cap flex.

They Trade Peterson (3.9M cap hot when buried), Walker (2.65) a 2nd plus retention to effectively save $4.5M.
They should have been able to trade Walker for positive value like a 2nd. I then though Peterson would cost at least a 1st to get rid. So im saying they could have had two seconds and 7.5M in cap space

It's worse when you realize that Cal was waived and sent to the AHL meaning his cap hit wasn't actually $5M. It was $3.85M. Cap Space is worth more than gold right now.
