Don't see why the Bruins would move Swayman over Ullmark unless it was a massive overpayment. Also wouldn't they want a prospect like Turcotte in return if they were going to sell either of them???

Every time I think they might let him walk this Summer he does something like snipe the OT winner. He's really winning over Bruins fans lol

keeping jake jarvy necas no kk skjei pesce
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mskiko</b></div><div>I definitely agree with you that this team is worse but it will be a transition year in which we should be able to be competitive unless things go extremely bad. Orlov is still playing very well and we aren't going to commit long term money to a 2LD with Nikishin coming over soon although I'd love to somehow keep Skjei. Also agree on money and term regarding Martinook and Noesen, just wanted to retain them and not underpay on the ACGM.
Moving Fast to retain 1 of Pesce or Skjei is definitely a scenario that could happen this off season as well.</div></div>
I think one thing to keep in mind looking at that is slavin burns and orlov all only have 1 year. You let pesce and skjei walk you are at risk of losong basically your top 5 in 2 offseasons.
Burns also will be 40 next summer and orlov 34. They might not be the guys they are today by then.
Having one pesce and skjei back atleast helps stabalize that situation.

Next Years Team
I hope we land a better player than Teravainen. Also I would assume if we had that cap space … we’d go after a vet D with a higher dollar figure. There is lots of flexibility there.
Also, I know that Heinen plays within his role. I’d think I’d prefer him down the lineup in an ideal situation

Hanifin Necas
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Canes pass. Freddie and Ullmark are about the same caliber of goalie, so that makes no sense to swap. And the rest won’t be enough for Necas. Canes would want a player who can immediately step in and be as good or be an upgrade on Necas. Boston only has 1 player of that sort, and I highly doubt they consider moving Pasta now.</div></div>
My thinking is that Carolina would move Necas in order to extend Guentzel and/or Skjei/Pesce, so this trade would only work if Carolina is taking back picks and prospects. As a Leafs fan, I can assure you that Carolina is not winning a cup with Andersen as your starter. Ullmark is a vastly more consistent (not to mention healthy) goaltender

Necas
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>batman</b></div><div>Not signing any of Guentzel Teravainen Pesce Skjei would be a monumental mistake. Nikishin isn’t coming in NA anytime soon, Nadeau isn’t ready. Unger Sorum and Blake are the only ones who could crack the roster with Morrow 100% making it.
Guentzel 6x9M( just look at his overall impact you NEED to bring him back )
Jarvis 2x4.75M ( High Money Bridge )
Necas 8x7M ( Boldy Comp )
Skjei 5x5.75M.
Let Teravainen and Pesce walk. Try to buy out KK to save 4M if necessary. And maybe bring back Martinook/Noesen if they are asking reasonable money.</div></div>
I think $4.75m is a little low for a guy who is about to hit 30 goals.
Buying out KK makes a lot of sense and I think that they could find some cheap depth pretty easily if they move on from Noesen.

Get him up and see what he can do with regular shifts on the 3rd, whether it’s at center or wing and find if he’s an option.
If not maybe give Boqvist a bump up to 3rd LW at least.</div></div>
Boqvist for 1C!!!

Playoff R1 matchup combo - Lightning vs Bruins
The defensive pairings are odd. There isn’t a TB line that comes close to the Lindholm/Carlo line defensively with Sergachov’s injury.. I also think there are several players on Boston outperforming Duclair and Jeannot (people are sleeping on how well Heinen is playing)

24-24 Look
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>He’s not a great passer. One of the things NJD needs most
Good defensively in the zone. Not as good defending the rush but still decent.
Lots of size, good skater especially at that size.
Shot is great but very slow release.
Can be great physical presence at times but it comes and goes</div></div>
The moment we acquired Peeke, I think it made Bahl less of an option. There are lots of deals with NJ possible if both sides believe that is what they want.
I think the cleanest deal is the 2025 first for Ullmark. Maybe Holtz depending on what NJ views as their cap preference to keep.

Bs Playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BruinsWoahWoah</b></div><div>If I was Monty, my playoff lineup would be
Heinen - Zacha - Pasta
Marchand - Coyle - Debrusk
JVR - Geekie - Freddy
Boqvist - Beecher - Maroon/Brazeau
Lauko, Richard, Lysell, Merk as depth for forwards (Lauko/Richard for bottom 6 roles and Lysell and Merk if they need to fill top 6). Don't think its ideal for Lysell/Merk to get their first looks in the NHL during the playoffs though.
Lohrei/Grz - McAvoy
Lindholm - Carlo
Wotherspoon - Peeke
Shattenkirk and either Grz/Lohrei being the depth pieces for D. I'd give the nod to Lohrei today, but understand they prob go with Grz to start for the vet experience.</div></div>
I think Grz will get the first pairing. Curious to see if it is Wotherspoon or Lohrei on the third line. Probably matchup dependent.
Peeke has looked good (surprised he got scratched as much with the size/talent level he’s displaying), but I can see some Wotherspoon/Shattenkirk options as well.
I want no part of those black aces playing. Just think they’d benefit from seeing what it takes to prepare

Based on this years play, that’s what he is until he returns to form. It could be injury driven, but what’s the market on an undersized puck mover coming off a bad year. I think he’d be an ideal fit next to Brandt Clarke in LA if they are forced to move on from Matt Roy
Unless I misunderstood and you are saying they will want a more defensively inclined pairing on the bottom 2?

He has the shot and the size to be a middle sixer. I really think Mouganel has done a very good job of getting him engaged. I am concerned about his skating.

Ultimately, I wouldn’t be surprised if Boston has more NHL players with 200 game potential on their list than given credit for, but they don’t have many star caliber prospects comparatively though I take the top 3 of Poitras, Lysell, and Lohrei over a lot of the more highly regard trios.
Hoping they sign Collin Graf. They can likely sell a great opportunity for him

I think there's a better chance then people think that Ottawa isn't on his NTC. Only team we know for certain that was on it is LA, and that was supposedly for "geographic reason", to me that says he wants to stay on the east coast.
And Geekie is fine, he's a good bottom 6 guy to have. If I need to move him to create cap I won't shed a tear though.

Agree. Think he is going to be in the 1.5 to $2M range, but a lot of players that fit his profile get lost and end up at the minimum.
You can systematically choose a discount, but are you foregoing pursuing a premium player in free agency? I am curious because you’ve focused on age curves in the past.
Who would you target?</div></div>
Jesper Boqvist deserves 10 mill AAV imo. My goat
