Good top 5 d ain’t good enough to qualify as a real top4 but a hometown boy, that played well in playoff for 4 years is good, he can go in any pairing

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Scyie_</b></div><div>Definitely a good point, I just don’t see the need for 20-25 and having that depth. Sweeney is **** and will just let AHL guys play instead of spending FA money. But he’ll have no problem throwing 3 picks and prospect for a 15 game rental
Just my thought process on it</div></div>
Yeah sweeney likes to go hard and tough to sign our player with good contracts but when it’s time for ufa damm he likes to overpay ahaha, yeah I never liked rental. To me if you want a rental it should not be a top6 player, if it’s a top6 player sign him if it’s a bottom no need to sign but don’t overpay. We don’t have the luxury to do it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jance</b></div><div>Don't mind the Hawks moving Hardman and Kalynuk, but there's no reason they would want Craig Smith. They're rebuilding, and an aging forward doesn't help them with the rebuild. The only reason they would take him would be as part of a cap dump, which the Bruins would need to pay for with draft picks or prospects. If the Hawks are moving a prospect like Kalynuk, they'll need another prospect coming back, or draft picks. They aren't interested in aging veterans.</div></div>
Yeah but they can trade back smith at the TDL for a 2nd depending on his season (more than hardman and kalynuk could return for sure)

Debrusk has reborn
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>It was a self fulfilling prophecy of sorts. I know a little bit about the situation. The kid was sad. Probably started with covid isolation. He was sad so he played poorly. Playing poorly hurt his spirits, and one affected the other until he got into the spiral of healthy scratches. It’s an incredibly mental game, particularly at the NHL level. Very tough to break out of that spiral. Why it took so long for Cassidy to try moving him up the lineup to get something out of him is beyond me, and thats why i don’t think cassidy is a very good coach.</div></div>
I agree with you about Cassidy non moove was stupid, he’s a good system coach but relational player wise I agree. But yeah the hole COVID thing really impact him too (as a lot of people) I don’t know if he saw some psy or anything but thing are working out now and it’s good

Debrusk has reborn
Debrusk is finally playing at his potential
I always said that he had enough talent to be a good top6 winger. He just wasn’t able to put everything together.
Before Debrusk was never really giving his 100% making him always 1-2 step behind plays.
Now he’s fully engaged in every play, he does the small things that make a player a good player (yesterday he played physical next to our net so we can go and score that OT goal baby)
Now he’s scoring, he’s hitting, he’s going in the corner to make play even if he get hit because he understand the outcome will be greater for the team.
I’m not sure what motivates him to play like this, is it being along side with two future HOF (yes they are good but they make people around them good by teaching too), is it because with his new contracts he’s now in a safe zone (won’t be traded for at least the rest of the year or is it because he want to be out so bad ahahah ?
No matter what’s the reason, we need to recognize his game and people need to stop thing hes a bottom 6
On that have a wonderful day to start that weekend and enjoy life !

yeah Moore was a cap dump, so it was pretty much a 1st, 2nd and Vaak for him wich is a decent return.

i always liked Lindholm, yes he was expensive, but having a guy who want to play here, like to compete is really valuable. He's amazing and i like the fact that for the next 8 years i can sleep well because we have a partner for Mcavoy for 8 years. Maybe the term arent great but i think he will age good and won't be much of a liability and yes the offseason could go different directions, depending on how we look in the playoffs, Bergy (stay or leave) and if the management think we are still good (even if on ice we are good)
