Except his skating isn't nearly as bad and his possession numbers have been good these past two years. Vinny's skating was far worse and his possession numbers were complete crap when the Flyers signed him.

couple moves and couple fa additions
Good looking team overall, though you're probably a bit too low on Okposo's salary. You could save some more money but keep Konecny down in the CHL, moving Cousins to 3C and Colborne to RW3. Still, this is a good looking team regardless.

LOL. By that logic MAF, Crawford and Howard are better than Lundqvist, Price, Holtby and Bishop. The team in front of the goalie has a lot to do with their success.

By most accounts, yes.
I'd be shocked to see that NJ trade work, by the way.

Saw someone talking about Kucherov (not happening)
Not a fan of Lovejoy (you can probably do better with the cap reportedly going up) or three more years of Ryan White, but it's a strong looking team overall.

Was the Teuvo/Bickell trade possible for Philly
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WingFanBT9</b></div><div><i>No, mainly because Philly would have a hard time resigning Teräväinen next season too. Especially with having to sign Gostisbehere.</i></div></div>
After next season, the following would come off of the books:
Bickell, PEB and VandeVelde up front (like 5.5M)
Streit, Schultz and MDZ on defense (11.3875M)
Both Goalies (5.725M)
Giving them about 22.6M (based on this past season's cap) to sign players (Goalies, Ghost, Teuvo, etc). So yeah, definitely hard but possible.

Pretty good, though I would definitely want Provorov and Sanheim to get time on PP2 if they're brought up. Maybe move Read off of the point and constantly rotate those two with MDZ?

Would anyone happen to know why my cap space went down after publishing this? It was at like -2.5M with the above roster prior to posting.

Nice looking team. Though, you could save yourself some more cap by burying MacDonald and signing someone like Manning for one year at under 1M.

slight retool
Trading Mason and leaving Neuvirth, who is injury prone, and Lyon, who is about to play his first professional season, as your goalies is a terrible idea. The return is quite pitiful too.

Duchene to Philly
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LobsterMagnet19</b></div><div><i>Gonna take a much better package than that to get Duchene from the Avalanche.</i></div></div>
Fully agree. Like I said in the description, I don't think that this would happen; I was more of looking to see if it would work financially.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div><i>Andy MacDonald...really? this is a joke proposal right?</i></div></div>
Yes/no. The Avs are the team who is coached by someone who thinks +/- is a really good stat and MacDonald did lead the Flyers in +/- this past season. Plus they're getting a 1st (18th overall) and two young players. I don't think the trade proposal is enough for Duchene, though; and the idea here was to see if a trade by Philly for his was possible financially.

Schenn will probably be a little more expensive but this is pretty good. I'd rather use Laughton on the fourth line over VandeVelde for what it's worth. Good looking team overall, though.

I think I'd stop rooting for the Flyers if they signed Kris Russell. Don't even get me started on how bad that dollar amount would be.

Test
Two things here:
1) I overpaid most if not all just to see what my limits were/are. Schenn at 5M is a bit high for my liking, but I'm not sure it's too far off (I'm thinking he gets like 4.75M depending on how many points he finishes the year with). Also Cousins at 1.25M is probably too high.
2) Regarding Kucherov, can the Bolts afford to match him at 6M after signing Stamkos at 10M+ (which is what is assumed here)? Keep in mind, Hedman, TJ, Palat, Bishop and a few others need new deals after 2016-2017.
