Some analytics people did an full report of everything.

I'll start out by saying there is no wrong answer. The debate can rage for days and days, and it would prove nothing. You believe the link ^ ^ and that's great, not a problem - enjoy yourself.
I do not.
And I did not assess anything in the report other than it looked to be remotely conducted by a firm having a junior hockey client.
I don't do analytics and it's <strong>a TOOL but NOT a tell all</strong>
There's an old saying in Science: <strong>GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT!!</strong>
* Have you vetted this "analytical data" yourself for the simple basics like precision and accuracy? I think not.
* Do you know the TRUE source of these points of data (i.e.: who is the original collector, what's their expertise, who pays them, are they accredited, honest....etc. etc. etc).
A person can sample a gold rich quartz vein in one of two ways - one way adheres to strict accuracy and precision and could make us all rich! The other way could put the sampler in jail!!
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bunzy1034</b></div><div>NHL writers are just plain stupid, they didn't even have Panarin in the top 3 for Hart when he or Hellebuyck should win LMAO. Hellebuyck only had three points so that means he got like 1 3rd place vote, what a joke.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bunzy1034</b></div><div>I mean I am not saying they all have to turn into advance stat nerds like me, but at least look at the context. For example Draisaitl has Mcdavid on his team and gets like 1/2 of his points on the power play. McDavid is also considered to be in the top 5 for the hart trophy, so how is it possible to WIN the most valuable player when you arguably aren't even the most valuable on your team.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BuFfaLOFaN</b></div><div>Yes, they don't really look 2 deep into any of their posts...</div></div>
This year's voting has been a joke. There was a model showing that Helleybucyk had the hardest workload amongst all NHL goalies & had the best performance whereas Rask had a very easy workload overall. Anyone who watches the games would know that.
Also, Carlson is going to run away with the Norris trophy only because he put up the most points, playing on an offensively stacked team. He was average to below-average defensively. McAvoy, Pietrangelo, Theodore, Josi & even Spurgeon should be ahead of him.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BuFfaLOFaN</b></div><div>I think that the Kahun trade may have got Botteril another season as GM</div></div>
Yup. Thanks for your comment.
He traded for one too many RHD while not getting a decent #2 Center.
While I thought Johansson and Vesey were good moves, we needed more RH forwards, than LH.
He totally buggered Scandella and made it worse by picking up Frolik with the pick.
But at the TDL getting Simmonds for a 5th was a great move that did not work out as they lost 6 straight.
I guess adding Vesey, Miller, Jokiharju, Kahun and Simmonds in general is a plus while only giving up only 2nd, 3rd, 5th, Nylander, Sheary and Rodrigues.
Finally, if Vesey and Skinner could have had average years (and extra 25 to 30 team goals), I think the team is in the playoffs and no one is asking for Botterill's head.

same for me, except Huberdeau > Kane. Probably a Blackhawks hatred thing tho tbh.
