Admittedly, a Reinhart (no D in his name guys, smh) trade would need to come with a new contract and preferably a long-term one for the acquiring team. But he is worth a 1st round pick and players. Yes Risto is bad, but someone will pay a pick and a prospect for him. NHL GMs are morons unlike the geniuses on this site. Pilut is actually good, just in Russia atm. Kahkonen is a backup, Tokarski is an AHL goalie not a cap dump. I don't think you know what a cap dump is, and if you have an issue with the expansion selection then SEA can take literally anyone else, idc. Gauthier is a bottom six player and McCann was just traded for a 7th round pick. I fail to see how these trades are so offensive. Seattle is going to select 30, 30!, players, so I think upgrading to a Reinhart and having Risto as your 3rd pair RD is not so bad for the cost of a couple scrubs and a pick which becomes a prospect who won't see the NHL for a year or 2.

Exactly! Why would a team want to acquire Eichel? Is it because he is great? Either you want Jack Eichel and are willing to pay the price or you don’t really want Jack Eichel. There is no Jack for scraps deal to be made. If you think up a Jack for scraps trade you are just fooling yourself. Better to come to grips with paying the price it takes or just forget about wanting Eichel because you don’t want him bad enough. Any deal with LA starts with Byfield and 1sts. Any deal with NY starts with Laf, Fox, and 1sts. That’s it. This is not Buffalo bias. This is the way it is.
