Yea, he is at a 0.72 ppg. Not bad, but for 9 million it is horrible. Buffalo had no choice but to give him that contract since he decided to score 40 in his first year there

Casey is a great player but no way Columbus moves him

Assuming Levi can put up league average Goaltending I think this team would win the Atlantic Division next year. Flyers accept, maybe even add a little bit to that trade

I am a hockey fan, not just a Leafs fan. I comment on a lot of things because I enjoy talking hockey.
I think TK will get a very good package. I just don't think it should be coming from Buffalo based on where they are at in their building process.
If I were Buffalo I would keep Olofsson and the rest of those assets rather than spending them on 2 years of TK.
Not sure where your hostility came from.

Konecny isn't a big enough upgrade over Olofsson to justify the rest of that package. I also wouldn't be spending that much on a winger that only has 2 years left on his contract.

Using Andrew Ladd's $5,500,000 two year AVV as an example, (2021-Jul-17 Traded from New York Islanders with round 2 pick in the 2021 draft (J.J. Moser), conditional round 2 pick in the 2022 draft (Mattias Havelid) and conditional round 3 pick in the 2023 draft (Tanner Ludtke) to Arizona Coyotes for future considerations) the Islanders had to add 2 seconds and a third for Arizona to take Ladd.
Right now four years of Campbell's $5,000,000 salary could cost 4 seconds and 2 thirds.
That would be equal to '24 1st, '24 2nd and '25 3rd.
Edmonton would be better off waiting a year to buy him out or hope he could resurect his mojo.

There is a 0% chance the Flyers trade TK without getting a 1st back. If you upgrade that 2nd pick to the 2024 1st then it probably gets accepted.

the hellebuyck trade is probably close to what a real one would look like, maybe swap lyubushkin for something of more value since the jets already have several D

Well, well, well it appears someone is actually listening to Kevyn Adams.
This is what Karmanos, Forton, Crowe and Ventura have been building.
IMO you certainly have the 12 forwards and 6 defensemen that will be on the team next year.
It is remarkable that the Sabres still has forwards Rosen, Ostlund, Benson, Wahlberg, Kisakov, and defensemen Lindgren, Navikov, McCarthy and Strbek with others waiting in the wings.
Maybe swap Kulich and Krebs, the defensemen pairings could be different and Luukkonen depending on this year may still be the "1B" GK.
Very good job!

Whether he signs for 7, 8, or $9 million a season I’m not sure it’s smart for the Sabres to add that contract to the list. They need cheap players to fill out the roster when older veterans leave the team.

soup has been to hell and back. sabres upcoming storyline is a cupcake walk compared to leafs and oilers with jack. as well a rookie in Levi shouldn't have that big of a workload to fulfill that teams check list for next season why not give him a veteran whose able to show him the dos and dont in the league.

Give Winnipeg a 4th rounder if you want Stanley. They won't be adding picks to the deal when they can just get a mid round pick to some team who likes his size, but has no tape on him.

WPG JETS fan here. Stanley is a Pylon. You sure you want to give up a potential starting goalie / back up at worst for a pylon? If so... then DEAL.
WPG likes trading with BUF, so we counter with Stanley for a bag of used pucks. Let's keep in good standing.
