I don't think edmonton needs kuzmenko. I think someone like conor Garland is good enough.
Yamamoto for Garland i would do.</div></div>
Garland is 5 times the cap cost than kuzmenko and half the points and edmonton needs ufa not long term players at 5.0 mil. Edmonton need a top wing to play with your 2 elite centers. If they dont go for it the next 2 yrs then Leon will be gone with no cup (because they can't afford 2 guys making over $12+)

I still think he's a good (not great) nhl defenseman just on a really bad team. His main partner is OEL, who I think is not good.

Wild TDL
Vancouver would take that. But it seems like most minny fans think Greenway is an elite talent so they won't be happy with you (by the way he's a 3rd liner at best). But probably a 2nd and dumba (for cap reasons) would be enough according to Vancouver media.

I dont see why ottawa would do that trade. Vancouver would do that if no other team offered a 2nd. That might be enough for meier.

As a canucks fan I agree that vancouver is not getting a 1st and kapanen. I think the 3rd and kapanen for boeser is fair. But I could also see it just one for one if vancouver wants cap space and speed.

Kakko is looking like a middle 6 winger, not top line. And the 1st are in the later half of the first round. Nyr should be able to make a strong cup push with these lines. Why is everyone so obsessed with resigning the ufas. That's not normally what happens ufas at the trade deadline. It's normally one playoff and done.

I agree. Boeser won't cost much which sucks because I like him as a player. He just gets injured every year. He's a more complete player now. People used to complain about "needs to round out his game" now it's "he needs to score more". He just needs out of vancouver.

Huge deadline push
As a vancouver fan even I think your over paying a bit. But its good to see that you understand that you have to pay to get a guy that's on pace for 50+ goals this season. 1st, lysell, beecher, zboril, for horvat (50% retained), lockwood and McDonough.

Zona gets a 5-6 NHL D, an A prospect, a B prospect and picks, which is about what they’ll pull from any team.</div></div>
Yes the team is a joke right now. But they will get more than that from other teams. If you want one of the top rentals this year you have to pay. I have no problem retaining salary but not for that crap in return.

I cant see vancouver doing that. 1st change Dermott to stillman and then you might have to add a mid range pick from Nashville. But I still don't like it, but I see what your trying to do.

Vancouver is not getting a 1st for schenn. A 3rd might be all they get. Maybe a mid range prospect on top of that. A 2nd is the maximum, I think.

I don't see that as being enough to get it done.</div></div>
Ya I agree. It just seems like an impossible trade for both sides. But I wouldn't mind seeing Wright as a future 2c behind pettersson. But I'm not getting my hopes up. I also don't see Wright as a 1st line center, but he has a lot of time to prove me wrong.

Because vancouver is not going to rebuilt. The fans and media want a rebuild but Rutherford wants to make the playoffs. He's old. He didn't come for a rebuild. You don't sign jt miller to that contract if your rebuilding. But OEL contract saves them alot the next 2 yrs, after that Rutherford will probably be retired and wont care if he leaves the canucks in cap hell.

I think vancouver might actually take that trade. As much as the fans want a complete rebuild, Rutherford wants to keep building this team to make the playoffs. That's his goal, the playoffs one time, not a consistent cup contender.

Can't see vancouver retaining salary and taking a bad contract back for a late 1st (23), a winger who will probably never be a top 6, and a 3rd in a few years. They will get better than that I hope.

Cal Foote is worth more than Schenn.</div></div>
I dont know if foote is worth more than schenn. I see them as equal value. No one wants miller with his new contract for the next 7 years. The management failed again by not moving him out last year. Vancouver would look alot different if they moved miller (2022) horvat and kuzmenko (2023). But Rutherford thinks he's still knows more than the rest of the nhl.... but he's horrible.
