<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Unavailable is unavailable, not saying some of his absences weren't worthy of taking, but the overall amount of man games missed is staggering. Yeah, he could be worth more if he can manage to play a season with 75% + attendance AND perform up to his abilities. Or he could have another 50 game or less season, at which point you would potentially have to pay to unload his contract in order to move him, or buy him out. His overall value has been trending down for years, i don't think he's turning it around in Columbus with all the upheaval.
And that's not begging to discuss whether the new GM wants him there or not, and whether he wants to be there under the new coach/GM as they go through a regime change.</div></div>
I think if you modified the conditions a little this could be an option.
i.e.
* Top 10 protected. If Laine plays less than 82 regular season games over the next two seasons, pick becomes ANAs highest 26 2nd and 27 2nd
If Laine plays less than 54 regular season games over the next two seasons, pick becomes ANAs highest 2nd in 2026 and a 3rd in 2027.
Mitigates the risk for Anaheim and provides a decent return for Columbus even if Laine misses time.

In this case the OP is a delusional Pens fan, so lets not place the blame on the Habs fan base for this one even though there have been plenty of others that were.

Blue jackets
Welcome to Capfriendly. Looks like this is your first ACGM and you have extremely over-valued some of the Jackets and tried to trade Roslovic after I think he had been traded to NYR.
If the goal was to see what the team might look like next year, then you can change the year for the team you are creating and increase the cap etc.
Try to be somewhat realistic or add some comments in the description that make it obvious that it is not intended as a a serious trade offer.
Have fun!

The equivalent trade for the Jackets would be more like Elvis and Provorov, not Elvis and Jiricek.

I don't think the Jackets do that. Neither Vladar or Tarasov are viable options as starting goalies next year.
Elvis needs to get over himself and with Jarmo gone he might not be so butt hurt.

Not sure why you have a dig at the Jackets when the OP appears to be a Bruins fan and in this ACGM it would be the Avs making a bad trade not the Jackets...

I would say the odds of Boone being traded to the Leafs are about the same as Mathews being traded to CBJ.

The source of that was a recent report by the Ottawa Sun’s Bruce Garrioch in which a league executive told him the Columbus Blue Jackets “are willing to discuss just about anybody.”
That isn't a direct quote from Jarmo or anyone directly associated with the Jackets and "just about anybody" means that there are definitely some players that are not up for discussion.

I think the difference is that Eyssimont had already cleared waivers earlier in the year. Martin has not cleared waivers this year and I think would have to before we could trade him.

So in this trade add the 25 1st instead and maybe a 3rd or mid-level prospect.</div></div>
You do realize that Prime Jimbo is a Canucks fan, not a Jackets fan right?
Jacket fans are somewhat evenly split between sell Elvis while you can and keep him until we have a better option, but even the ones who think we should sell think it will cost a lot more than this offer.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>I agree with this... So instead of making a reasonable trade, you decided to get revenge. I see.</div></div>
Up to a point. The Jackets don't have a viable replacement for Elvis and want to compete next year. They are not in the business of taking on cap dumps and buying out players from other teams. So unless they think Campbell can still be somewhat effective as a backup goalie I just don't see this happening. And if they thought he could be a backup, then they would still want to keep Elvis and would need retention on Campbell and compensation for taking him on as a more expensive backup.

This is indeed the point. I really don't think an Elvis/Campbell trade makes sense for the Blue Jackets, so it is more likely that the Oilers just buy out Campbell this off season.

I like these trades and could see some of these happening. I think Calgary may actually prefer Bean to Boqvist based on some of the proposed Lindholm trades and I think it might make more sense for the Jackets also since I don't see a fit for Bean next year if we expect Mateychuk (or maybe Svozil) to make the team.

The Jackets don't do either of these trades or sign Nylander or Hanifin.
LD is not a position of need and I would also say the odds of Nylander and Hanifin signing in Columbus are probably low.
The Jackets would be better of spending the money on Lindhom or another option at 1C than using that money for Nylander and Hanifin.
