<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Suzuki_Cup</b></div><div>1. I think Norlinder and Harris will both be superior to Mete in a few years. Norlinder is compared to P.K. Subban in Sweden, and everyone has great comments on him. Harris was a defenseman on the US team in the World Junior, and didn't look bad. He has probably a top 6 potential.

2. I really like Petry. He is a heck of a second pairing defenseman. Though, in 3-4 years, he will be 35-36 years old, so he will certainly not be a top 2 dman. He will be, according to me, as goo as Weber to play on the second/third pair. That's why I keep only one of the two. I keep Weber because his contract is untradable and because he can be very good to help a team developpement with all his leadership. Petry has more trade value, so we must use the situation to our advantage.

3. I agree that this Danault contract is a little long (it would end at 36y.o.), but I didn't really bother about the duration, it's more the amount that is important.

4. I hadn't kept Tatar, but after reconsideration, he may be a viable option. In 4 years, he will be 33 years old, so he will start to decline. Though, he will be a great veteran. The problem is the money he will be asking for. We would have to sign him arount 7 millions and for a duration of at least 5 years (if not, he won't sign probably), so until he's 35. Like Petry, I think he is the second player with the most trade value, and would be perfect for a trade with a great team, for exemple at the trade deadline, in order to receive a #1 defense prospect. We could use Domi to trade for the second line winger, or use the Free Agents too.</div></div>

Fair points. I do think that Norlinder will be very good, but I’d expect both him and Harris to spend at least a year in the AHL. Either way I think it would be best to keep at least one of Chiarot/Mete for safety, while the other one probably gets picked by Seattle.

Thread: Selon moi
