Does this work
No, Oilers aren't trading Bouchard to dump Campbell, I already suggested it and it was shot down with an emphatic no. Also Habs aren't selling low either Campbell will cost a minimum of 2 1sts to dump, given that you added Bouchard that's likely it to dump him. That means you are sending back Allen (retained) + Harris + Kovacevic + Evans for Lavoie and a 6th. Harris likely gets you those other two assets, so now you are adding Allen (retained) + Evans + Kovacevic for free. How does any of that make any sense?

There’s no way in hell the Habs are giving up the best pick in this trade. Also no way we take Jack Campbell without getting a first round pick back.

I think that would be bad for both teams to accept. Raw value its a good trade, but I think that it's better that they hold on to what they have.

No... I’d rather have KK but that’s not a fair trade. If you switched KK for a 2nd it would be a fair trade.

When he was in Winnipeg he spent most of his time dragging Lowry around, at one point he was on a 4th line with Perreault and he and Perreault actually made Matt Hendricks look like a decent center.. Lol
I can only imagine how much better the Jets would have been had the 3rd line of been Copp centering Perreault and Armia.
He's a really underrated player, Bergevin did really well in that trade, Chevy blew that one big time.

Columbus would jump all offer that... that’s a lot for a cap dump of alzner. Maybe replace KK for a middle 2nd and it’s a better trade for both trades.

Sure like Kane or Toews would waive for Montreal, You're at least $1.5 million over what the cap will likely be with 3 more players and zero cap. Yeah good luck on that one.

1. If Stastny is your top line center two seasons from now there is a problem
2. Danault wouldn't resign to be a 4th line player when he'd be a 2nd line center on other teams
3. Labanc stinks, trade Domi for a LHD

Edmonton isn't interested in Lindgren or Mete anyhow. The only prospect worth anything of the three (IMO) is Russian goalie Konovalov, and Montreal doesn't need a prospect goalie. The trade makes no sense from either side, although it's a clear win for Edmonton (depending on how Konovalov turns out, of course).

Future Habs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Suzuki_Cup</b></div><div>1. I think Norlinder and Harris will both be superior to Mete in a few years. Norlinder is compared to P.K. Subban in Sweden, and everyone has great comments on him. Harris was a defenseman on the US team in the World Junior, and didn't look bad. He has probably a top 6 potential.
2. I really like Petry. He is a heck of a second pairing defenseman. Though, in 3-4 years, he will be 35-36 years old, so he will certainly not be a top 2 dman. He will be, according to me, as goo as Weber to play on the second/third pair. That's why I keep only one of the two. I keep Weber because his contract is untradable and because he can be very good to help a team developpement with all his leadership. Petry has more trade value, so we must use the situation to our advantage.
3. I agree that this Danault contract is a little long (it would end at 36y.o.), but I didn't really bother about the duration, it's more the amount that is important.
4. I hadn't kept Tatar, but after reconsideration, he may be a viable option. In 4 years, he will be 33 years old, so he will start to decline. Though, he will be a great veteran. The problem is the money he will be asking for. We would have to sign him arount 7 millions and for a duration of at least 5 years (if not, he won't sign probably), so until he's 35. Like Petry, I think he is the second player with the most trade value, and would be perfect for a trade with a great team, for exemple at the trade deadline, in order to receive a #1 defense prospect. We could use Domi to trade for the second line winger, or use the Free Agents too.</div></div>
Fair points. I do think that Norlinder will be very good, but I’d expect both him and Harris to spend at least a year in the AHL. Either way I think it would be best to keep at least one of Chiarot/Mete for safety, while the other one probably gets picked by Seattle.

You say We need a 1st pair RD, then why on earth are you trading Jeff Petry?
Danault’s contract is a bit too long, I’d say a 5-6 year deal is more appropriate. Also just sign Tatar! Trading Max Domi for a winger would definitely be beneficial though.

Selon moi
