Washington Capitals signed Tom Wilson (7 Years / $6,500,000 AAV)
I think this contract will change the perception of Josh Anderson’s contract doesn’t it?

Bedard and Dubois scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ricochetii</b></div><div>Getting Bedard makes a Dubois trade unlikely. We have the young pre-Hughes players, the Slaf/Dach draft, and then the Bedard, RHD, Hrabal? draft. That's a very solid core of players to supplement with vets and young reinforcements for the foreseeable future.</div></div>
I agree that if we get Bedard , Dubois could be a luxury , a bit like Tavares .

It could be mesar instead of Farrell.
A value struble like a 3rd round pick , so yes you could swap for a prospect valued like a 3rd

You seem to be claiming that Edmundson is a 4LD. And yet you're wanting 2 firsts?
2022 1st is for Eddy for 2 years.
The 2nd is for retaining 2 full years at 50%.
A bit like Hagel.
Oh boy.</div></div>
One late 1st for Eddy.
Another late 1st to retain money for 2 full years.
Young top 4 defenseman in is prime for two full years at 1750 000.
Like Hagel a bit, but Eddy is way more proven.

I agree with you Barron is not NHL ready. This is why he’s on the 4th pairing Def (so sent down to AHL).
Rommy will be an excellent asset at 4m$, no matter whats the result of Ghule and Harris

Next year tank team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jay27</b></div><div>No. People think tanking is worth it because you can get the next messiah #1 overall to lead the team to the promise land, in actuality you hurt the development of your young guys by creating a losing environment and only have a what %17 chance of picking 1st and even then there is no guarantee one player can turn your team around. Look at McDavid, best player in the world and his team still can’t get past the first round. Mentality should always be to win, never tank on purpose.</div></div>
It’s about building with our youths. And trading big anchor contracts. We won’t be competing . No reason to keep price. We need elite talent level players. We won’t get them without high picks. And we also need to give our young players a chance by giving them a roster spot .

Chariot can play big minutes in the top 4 for playoffs. Fast, nasty and physical. He is way better than Holl

For one, we most certainly don’t know what we’re getting with Drouin, and secondly, we know what we’re going to get out of Brendan Gallagher, but the habs aren’t buying out his contract.</div></div>
You think , because of a pause of a few months, Drouin is gonna magically score 70 ppts??? No. He will again be a liability, not physical and sheltered. He’s gonna be exposé with MTL médias. I think it’s better to turn the page

Its to much loss and not enough people brought in
Hoffman replaces Tatar and Perry
Savard helps with Webers loss defensively but no help Goal Scoring wise
Danault hasnt been attempted to be replaced as the youth is being push as Evans has shown the same promise Danault did at his age</div></div>
We have Caufield, Drouin and Hoffman to replace Tatar, Staal (lol) and Perry
Savard for Weber (it’s a loss but maybe Weber is back for playoffs)
It’s really the loss of danault who won’t be replace. Maybe Evans and Paquette can take the lead defensively

Good deal for both sides . Armia is big , good shot but inconsistent sometimes. The one that compared Byron to Armia doesn’t no much lol. They are complete opposite, and Armia’s contract will end 2 years before Byron In term of age (32 vs34)
