Toffoli is an excellent player on an amazing contract. Good scorer with term? That nets you quite the return

TDL next year overview realistic
A good overall strategy, but I think you're a little optimistic on what Lehkonen, Armia and Perreault are going to bring you. As <a href="/users/DirtyDangle" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@DirtyDangle</a> says about Lehky, I think that you're a round high in each instance unless they improve dramatically over the remainder of the season.

I mean I don’t think anybody is giving a 1st for Chiarot, but I didn’t think anybody would give a 1st for Savard. This is probably the most reasonable MTL ACGM I have seen in a minute.

You do realize that Chiarot has more goals than Nurse and Barrie combined right. Many many outsiders look at Chiarot and think he is just a shutdown D man but he skates pretty well for his size and has a average 1st pass what makes him better though is he also has a knack for getting pucks through to the net. He doesn't always utilize his abilities but when needed he will step up and show he is more than a shutdown D.

And when Lehkonen came back in Ducharme line-up, he didn’t disappointed and never came off

Montreal Canadiens signed Joel Armia (4 Years / $3,400,000 AAV)
Anyone who watched the Habs run in the playoffs will know how important it was to resign Armia. HUGE for the penalty kill, great size, super versatile in the lineup. The Armia-Staal-Perry line was a puck possession monster all playoffs long. Love this deal.

I agree everyone’s got skeletons in their closet but when they come out, it looks real bad for them and the team which is why no team would really want those types of players..

I don’t think you understand how valuable last change is. The whole reason Montreal got awful matchups was because Tampa had full control over them. Yes MTL can try and make some quick changes to get a matchup, but it’s super hard on the road. It’ll get a lot better in game 3.
Romanov needs to be playing for sure. Gustafsson is the easy option when it comes to taking someone out he hardly plays. Plus petry and Weber can man the power plays.

I think they have the best goalie on earth right now, a physical and disciplined top 4, an elite shut down first line, deep secondary scoring and leadership ready to sacrifice everything for the win. And injuries, so many injuries.
Don't hate the player, hate the game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As long as they have mcavoy they’ll be fine, but they’ll need to find something at center for the long term.</div></div>
Lol my opinion is stupid? Being the best goaltender in franchise history means absolutely nothing. Rangers should go resign hank next year for $10M cause he’s the best goalie in their history. Maybe your opinion is stupid bud. Also Mccavoy = overrated.

The bruins, lightning, leafs, and panthers are clearly ahead of Montreal when it comes to sustaining success over the course of a season. Montreal got hot, its not sustainable with that group.</div></div>
You could be right with the first 3 ones, even if injuries could prevent them to acheive their potential, but the Panthers have nothing on Habs.

I would love to know if you think the bruins have a sustainable group? They have had a lot of success but it’s going in the wrong direction. Team is not getting better the way it is that’s for sure

Resign danault and Armia market value
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>Its gonna be alot harder in your division next season though. Boston Tampa Florida Toronto alot harder than the north was this year. Still the young guys get better its gonna be interesting. Caufield and Suzuki are alot of fun.</div></div>
When you look at the Habs record over the past few years, the problem has been they lose to the lousy teams. They also missed the playoffs in the previous years almost entirely on the backs of the backup goalies. (Those two things might be linked). Frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of the harping on the North Division. This is nothing more than an "eyeball test" — the Avs LOOK better than the Oilers. Until they're playing each other, you're comparing apples and oranges. When the league resets next year into its regular structure, I'll agree that Tampa is still likely to be a cut above the rest in the east. There's nothing to suggest Boston or Toronto are going to be any better next year than they were this year or last. Ottawa will improve as their players mature, but the Sens are still going to be inconsistent. Florida? The Panthers were supposed to be great this year and they disappointed. Buffalo? Please make the pain stop.
