Stars - What I want to see
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>abennett1284</b></div><div>Why would they not do that? Vancouver isn't competing next season. You get a mid round pick and a guy at a lower cap hit who is 1 year from UFA. Also they need to shed salary.</div></div>
Bear fits in great and unless he is going to price himself out he shouldn't be going anywhere.

Boeser is probably 4th on the list but probably the most asked about as out of everyone he has the highest ceiling. List of Vancouver players that would like to shed imo is:
Myers (he really shouldn't be moved til after his signing bonus as cost to get out from him then should be less)
OEL (Probably going to cost too much too unload plus NMC is probably going to throw a wrench into trading him)
Garland (should be one of the easier to move and there should be some teams interested)
Boeser (been talked about before)
Beauvillier (1 year deal so if necessary should be more willing to retain on him but showed well when he was outside of the Islanders system)
Miller (Has value but can't be replaced and probably wouldn't get the return that would be ideally asked for him) But could be a draft day suprise

Canucks pass on that Boeser is probably going to stay with Van unless we are also trading Miller as those 2 have good chemistry. Boeser is slightly overpaid not giving him away in move down scenario. This would have to either include OEL or Myers as those are only 2 players we should legit have to pay to move out.

11th isn't enough must include Demko and take back any other bad contract from Toronto cause everyone needs to help them.

I think the Canucks pass. Koivunen isn't a winger prospect we need or want. I think unless an offer comes that knock our socks off I don't think Boeser will get traded he does have good chemistry with Miller unless both go I don't think either will go. Only 2 Vancouver would be "desperate" to move is Myers and Garland. but I think for Garland just be a lesser return then what we would like. (ie. instead of low 2nd or 3rd probably will go for 4th/5th or prospect equivalent or a tweener prospect from a team that wants him.

You think Nylander is worth more then Horvat? Canucks should pass on that is Nylander worth more then Boeser yes but not at the cost of Raty and 11th overall plus a 3rd.

While this is overpayment in picks for Boeser and Garland maybe a bit more balanced deal would be Murphy and a couple picks (like 2nd this year and a 3rd next year)

Til Monday the Bedard dream lives.
Eh Huberdeau doesn't make sense for Vancouver unless it for JT and don't think Allvin/Tocchet want that deal either. I think a base of Boeser for Tanev could work but don't think it would make sense to move Boeser this offseason unless getting a return no one probably would want to give and I think a Miller-Bedard-Boeser line could be potent. if the dream happens.

Canucks have to be keeping Demko. If the team wants to be competing for playoffs asap. Without Demko this year we were around 6th worst team in the league. Trading Demko is not very smart unless we are doing a tear it down rebuild.

Yeah Vancouver passes. Maybe if you swapped Petry for Petterson and Granlund for someone with long term value or another good pick maybe. Pretty sure Miller is probably last on the available player list to get traded.

Benning is gone so this deal would never happen. Myers being moved ain't at the cost of moving down and a top 10 1st round pick still on his elc

If Bear won't sign a good long term deal and we miss out on Gavrikov. This could be a good plan B option. Though would have to move out one of Boeser or Garland first too

True if Arizona is on his NTC then yeah probably could swing something like Myers and 4th for a puck to be named later.

I'm hoping so I think might be best for them to start on the farm and be the call up for short term injuries if they are doing good. For Long term injuries probably better to call up Brisebois

Love the OEL buyout. I don't see much point in the Mayfield or Reilly additions. Canucks have basically resigned guys like Brisebois and Wolanin and still have Rathbone in the AHL. A couple of those guys will be in the NHL next year.</div></div>
We need depth though imo Wolanin should be setup to be 7th D not a Reilly fan would rather try for a guy with more potential then him especially for 3m.

I disagree with this as We are becoming the Russia west vs Washington's Russia East. The Goalie coach was his coach for the best years of his career (Ian Clark). But yeah without Florida eating probably at least 25%+ of his salary or paying us exteremly well for taking it (even with moving OEL the other way and if things work out right OEL will be more useful to Vancouver then Bobrovsky) I don't see it happening Vancouver even with moving Myers and Garland out are still probably too close to the cap to afford what they need (good 3C, 2 Top 4 D's (one RHD and one LHD) and a backup goalie that could at least spell Demko in case of injury or slow start again as management needs to learn from how Martin played last year vs this year. and Silovs might end up getting his confidence destroyed and not becoming the best prospect he could be.

If Dermott is a possible person for not getting qualified let alone getting 500k raise. Rather keep OEL,Wolanin and Brisebois. And OEL imo won't be bought out for a minimum of 2 years.

Stay away from Compher imo his numbers are inflated by playing 2nd line in Colorado. Him at nearly 5m is too much imo. Rather try to get Barbashev for around 4m.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Epic_Ninja_Dude</b></div><div>I think they will probably end up holding on to him. He’s bounced back under Tocchet (4 G, 11 A, 15 PTS in 20 GP), who is a coach he has also had success under in Arizona. If they do move Garland, it will be for picks, but certainly more than two 3rds. Only scenario I could see them doing this is if they go out and make a big splash in FA and have to move Garland like CBJ did with Bjorkstrand to be cap compliant.</div></div>
Well if they want to complete the revamping of the team either Boeser or Garland (and Myers) need to go. I like Garland but imo Boeser is the better player. And Garland should be moved for best pick/ pick compilation. That way we can get good 3rd line C to play between Podz and Kravstov. Hoglander can replace Garland as the skilled player on Joshua and Aman's wing.
