There's about a 50/50 chance neither of these draft picks turn into players that play as much as Bjorkstrand played last year. ... Holy crap, this is a bad deal for the CBJ. Good job, Seattle.

He had an off year, so if he bounces back with 40 points, it will be worth it. That's a BIG IF. If he slips, then this will be a bad contract for two years.

In a vacuum, this is a good deal. Toronto is a bit strapped for cash, so I don't know if this is the best use of their very limited funds.

Two of those seasons were disrupted by covid-19 and he was a LOT better at the end of last season than he was at the beginning of the season.

At first, I thought the Devils won this, as they got the better player and didn't give up much. A prospect that isn't doing great and a 3rd is very little for a player that will make an impact this season. However, that player is arguably being paid too much, so they gave up assets to help the Penguins earn some much needed cap room.

Fair trade.

I think he's going to be a healthy scratch a lot of the time. HOWEVER, he can play when needed and there will be lots of injuries throughout the year.

Good price for a 10-goal, 30-point player. The term is a little high, while the player is worse in the playoffs. I think it's a win, but a marginal one.

Easy win for the caps. $3.5 million for a 20-goal scorer is a steal. There are a couple of downsides here...

1.) Last year might be a fluke and they could regress this year.
2.) It is for only one year, meaning if they don't regress, they will get a massive raise next summer.

However, only one of those can be true, so again, easy win.
