Which Pearson trade is the best
Wow, just what the Wild need: a rental left shot wing /s
I'd be very surprised if we ever traded Addison, and if we did it would be in a package for a legitimate #1 center. Can't see us being even remotely interested in this trade.

I don’t even want to consider eichel anymore just cause of the bloated value from buffalo fans. Unrealistic imho

Granlund isn't a center. No idea why Capfriendly still lists him as one because he has never been able to produce consistently at center.

They said it couldnt be done
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheGHANDI90</b></div><div>He doesn't know, because he clearly chooses not to watch any NHL hockey outside of his little Wild bubble. Saying that Drouin isn't good when he would be the leading scorer on Minnesota was pretty funny tho. I guess that means the whole Wild team is not good either 🤷♂️</div></div>
Points coming from the Canada Divison don't mean much to the rest of the league. He'd also be tied for the team lead in points with 2 other players, and has played a few more games. Plus MN was putting an AHL roster on the ice for a couple of their games because of COVID. Not really a great argument.
Drouin is fine, he's just not better than what MN already has in their top-6. You don't trade the farm for a 3rd line wing. You also don't trade the farm for a guy who gets exposed to SEA in a few months. The Wild are better off with keeping their stuff and not touching this trade. Poehling would get you 3rd from MN. Mete has negative value to MN.
A 50p wing isn't worth a 1st+ an A prospect + boom or bust prospect + a quality bottom-6/PK FWD. MN dumped Zucker because he was redundant on the team. Drouin is just as redundant as Zucker was last year.
Please keep your stuff, MN is happy to keep their stuff, and pretend this offer never happened.

Henrique Retention Strategy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>Just send them MarJo and Bjugstad (both would clear waivers just like Henrique did). Call it even and be done with it.</div></div>
I'm content to trade those two for 6th and 7th rounders at this point which if you consider the cap space for the summer it probably a better return then Henrique. Look at the guys the ducks didn't waive that should say enough about Henrique.

Next Year and Yes Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>PLD and Laine were both disgruntled players that want out, and Laine is likely to leave Columbus as soon as they can. It's not the same.
I've already accepted the fact that the Wild aren't going to end up with Eichel. It's time you realize that no team is going to trade their Kaprizov type players for Eichel. If that's your managements requirement, he's going to be disgruntled for 5 years and then run away in free agency.
Either way, I'm not bothered because none of my players want out.</div></div>
Ur right here they just think they’ll get the world for him, it’ll be a good package for sure but not the laf or kaprizov type players they says require the trade to go thru

Bennett Bonino
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>Wild fans in previous threads seem to be reasonably Ok with a 3rd+prospect for him. The point of contention was simply the amount of retention.
The deadline will be tricky to navigate due to travel restrictions, and the fact that Minnesota and Colorado play twice in Minnesota just 4-5 days before the trade deadline offers an opportunity for a smooth transition without pause for Bonino.</div></div>
I would never judge player values based on other opinions on here. They are so far out of whack it's not even funny.
I think there are a few teams looking for a 3C this TDL. That's gonna drive the price more than anything else. Number of teams + market.

Dubois Minnesota

Define proven because I see a center who has a high of 61 points playing with Panarin and 49 points in 70 games playing without him (not a huge drop, but still a drop). As a Wild fan, I'd be happy with those points for a 1C but that's because the Wild have never really had a legit 1C (aside from Staal's 17-18 season really). PLD is young and could keep getting better but he also could just be a solid 2C and I'd hate to be the GM who overpays for that.

I mean, Columbus had the cap space to go after Dadonov this past offseason for nothing except money. If someone says this is "Too much", they need their head examined.

But the point is that every prospect theoretically has good upside. The high end prospects are what really matters. That’s why Colorado has a highly ranked prospect pool because Byram/newhook LA has turcotte/byfield minnesota has Rossi/kaprizov/boldy. All of these prospects are probably top 25 in the whole nhl and these teams have multiple of them.

Winnipeg's 1st for starters if they want Dumba for Roslovic +, but I'd say we'd probably be after Ehlers if Dumba was going back the other way.
