<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>StutzlesNumber1Fan</b></div><div>It’s literally Chych + 25 + 50% retention. it’s not Chych alone. I think Chych is good enough to move up 10-12 spots if im being honest.</div></div>
It still involves giving away a top 14 pick for a rental. Maybe another team would be interested, but I doubt it.

Yeah I don't think $5M of bottom of the lineup spare parts you guys don't want anymore is interesting enough to trade those prospects for

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SensFan40</b></div><div>I think the discussion starts and ends with that pick - not wasting time thinking Wallstedt, Faber or Eriksson Ek could be involved and there's not much else that would be of interest to the Sens. The 1st next year is too much of an unknown since I see Staios wanting either a proven NHLer or a top 14 1st this year. If Minnesota won't include 13 this year then the Sens will go to one of 10 other teams who would swap NHLers.</div></div>
You're not getting a top 14 1st for Chychrun, I don't really care what you gave up to get him. He's a one year rental.
You'll get a (late 2024 or conditional 2025) 1st and a prospect with some extras sprinkled in for balance, as is standard for these types of deals. You would have to part with a significant addition to even get a conversation for Faber or Eriksson Ek started.

Not trading that pick for Chychrun, we can have a discussion about Chychrun without it though

Aside from that, probably would be difficult for the Wild to make that cap work next year since they'd need to sign Necas long-term.</div></div>
I also remain completely unconvinced that Necas, or any Necas style player, is something Guerin even wants on his roster

There's no counter because they don't want any of your spare defensemen and they're not giving you their 1st.

I just wouldn't move pick 13 for pieces like that. Depth pieces, not top of the lineup pieces like you hope to get with 13. Maybe Foerster and FLA 1st for MIN 1st would get me thinking, but anything short of that is an easy no.

Guerin type offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CoolHandL</b></div><div> I predict that Gus stays - they probably won’t get enough in return anyway due to his most recent numbers… and do they really want to rely on an age 40 Flower and a rookie Wallstedt (regardless of his stock) to get them back to the playoffs? I would keep Gus and see if he can re-establish his value. Wallstedt will get more starts regardless due to Flower being in his twilight.</div></div>
I see this sentiment from virtually every fan of the team - why rush to trade Gus in what we know is Fleury's last season? - so I'm really hoping the team feels this way too. Just makes way more sense to keep him than move him this summer.

Wild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Imraygbiv</b></div><div>In terms of trade value, the Kings would take it. But have to ask if Gustavsson is the best value goalie they can get. Based on last season, I'm leaning towards no. 3.75M for two more seasons makes it very difficult for the Kings to make any moves to their roster, which needs help. Someone in the 2M range makes more sense. And I'm not sure Minny can/will take any more retention lol</div></div>
Value isn't just the price, it's the quality for the price. You're not likely going to get a good goalie at 2M. You'll just be in the same spot you are now.
Anyway, Kaliyev is not a piece the Wild would be looking to add. If they end up trading Gus, it could just be for a 2nd. Though, they really should keep him and do a tandem of he and Wallstedt starting in 2025-26.
