One of the lowest valued franchises in the NHL, if the owner could increase the value of the team by $100m do you hunk he gives AF about Jost and 15th overall draft pick?

Any idea how much additional $ the franchise would be worth with boy Hughes brothers? 2 American brothers, US city, could be in the 100s of millions

Benning has proven that he can be a capable top 4 d man at times and Puljujarvi. Puljujarvi may as well break out next to Horvat and trading Leivo saves us a spot to go after Ferland or something! Thoughts?</div></div>
I don’t think that would be enough from Van’s side but Puljujarvi would be a good buy low target, I could see a team giving up a late first for him

Spurgeon / Zucker would definitely fill a void, agreed that Gaudette will draw interest and could likely be a key piece to move. I would be looking to take back a bad contract to get the players we need. Ie. Tanev (50% retained) for Zaitsev/Johnsson

Okay, so how much for Panarin and what would we need to trade for Hamilton, there’s still lots of cap space...

Agreed on goldobin trade, could see Pitts interested and put him with Malkin. Still see trading Sutter to make room for Gaudette, could see it not happening until 2020 deadline though when his nmc is up

Three Free Agent Signings AND Three Trades
Stone should be our number target this offseason, I really like the signings and would give us a legit top 2 lines with Ferland/Stone. I think stralman could be the perfect fit with Hughes behind Edler/ Tanev.
Gaudette is pushing hard and think he will be ready by next year. Would like to give Zack Macewan a long look as well.
Good job!

Love this! I think $12m could get Tavares, a little luck with getting the first overall and this team looks a lot different. Doubt they buy out Eriksson but he can still help on the pp and is good defensively. That first line could be nasty, Beartschi will battle with Goldobin, one will get dealt.
Doubt Del Zotto can get that return or they will trade him until Deadline next year, likely takes Juolevi’s spot, who will spend a year in the AHL

Opening Night
Love this lineup, balanced scoring and I have concerns with Baertchi playing against top line opposing D pairings, this third line could score a ton.
Changes:
Send Chatfield to AHL to play 20 minutes/night and sign upshall as 4 line LW, burmistrov and Dorsett as 13/14 fwds

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>clark</b></div><div>you might have "inside knowledge of the canucks" but no so much for the leafs. 1. leafs have cap space to upgrade their defence without giving up two prime assets for a meh man. This is not good value for the Leafs.
please canuck fans, can't Tanev be traded to another team besides the Leafs?</div></div>
I'm sure shattenkirk is number one on their list and they looking at grabbing a D from Anaheim, shattenkirk won't sign in TO. There's a lot that has to go right here but Tanev is a perfect fit there or BUF. they loved with him Reilly at the Worlds last year and would give TO a true #1 pairing that's relatively young.
And besides that, do you not like any of this? I think this plan is very tight

He's been playing centre this year while Eichel was out. what's way more in your opinion, BUF's defence is absolutely brutal. You are really underestimating how good Tanev is and that comes from good sources.

Only way to trade both is if they draft Liljegren, can't lose them both without adding a good D. This is a line up that can roll 4 lines and all 3 D pairings have some balance.

Debrincat as our 2nd line RW combined with one of the top centres ( Nolan, Hischier, vilardi, Rasmussen) could be a great 1-2 punch behind Horvat, Beartschi, Boeser
