I clearly have a better idea than you. Nut is very underrated on a great contract. And hes only 25 who shows that he keeps getting better, he is part of the rebuild. Why would they trade him for a 3rd line forward who doesnt show much potential to get better than that.

Luca jo.....</div></div>
yes you just proved my point.. they dont have anyone else so they threw him on the second/first line, which he isnt that type of player
and just because u have depth at a position doesnt mean u trade a prospect.. the guys a first round pick 3 years ago and dman develop later than most...

The guys a MAX 30 point getter.. if u put him belongs aka third/fourth line hes getting 20-30 points... Levio was just pushed up in the lineup hence why did okay with 18 points in 49 games.. and why give up of luca jo? its still so early
dumbest trade ive seen on cap friendly in a while... lets not forget leafs scratched levio for 2 years

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Discussing with you is fruitless, you buy into speculation from idiots like its the truth. No one has said anything about term except dummies on the internet. As for him deserving the same as a centre? That just isn't reality. Centres are worth more, and get paid more and are more valuable. Many teams have had elite wingers but no centres and they just can't ever win anything. Which is why wingers don't get paid the same as centres.</div></div>
All the insiders are saying its about term.. if you cant believe the insiders who have been proven to be right time after time, you are insane. And yes I agree centers get paid more than wingers, but you can argue marner is more important than matthews on the team. Plays more minutes plays the pk, is durable....

This Marner stuff is hilarious
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Again Bob McKenzie was the one to originally mention this and what he said was he want a deal in the range of Matthews for a cap hit but not the same term. Obviously he isn't expecting to get the same cap hit for less years. Plus that would make him the highest paid winger in the entire world. He hasn't done anything to deserve that yet. You just want to see the Leafs burn.</div></div>
Why doesnt he deserve that? And the way people are getting paid he will not be the highest paid winger in the league. the leafs made their mistake giving matthews that much money on that term. Marner is not that far off from matthews, so then he deserves to get paid like matthews with the same term. Not that hard.
And ps. if Bob mentions it... no one else needs too

boyd scored 20 points in 53 games.......37ppg and he was playing 4th line minutes. I imagine given a better opportunity his points would go up
Luca jo is 1/2 the caps best d prospects and should be nhl ready
Stephenson is a solid bottom 6 guy and has good speed
Leivo had 24 points is 76 nhl games.... .31 ppg..... hes about as good s boyd on paper and they are about the same age....
Luca jo imo is worth a 2nd-3rd round pick. Stephenson is worth a 4-5th round pick.... added them to the trade to balance my unintended bias</div></div>
You do realize the leafs trade levio for an AHL player now ur giving 2 nhl players and caps top d prospect for him

You have it all backwards. He wants a similar deal to Matthews.

Also, Stephenson is overpaid. I can't see him getting more than 950k. He shoots less than most defensemen do. Hags also gets in the neighborhood of 2.5M-3M.</div></div>
I agree on the bura point, but if hags is asking for that much, the caps would be outta there mind to sign him
