<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>You’re around here enough. You know that he’s flat out said he’ll only play in boston, and prefers retirement to playing anywhere else…and that he’s practicing in bruins gear at the bruins facility, and acting as an EBUG and all that.

It is abundantly clear rask will sign in boston.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CMcAvoy73</b></div><div>Ya. Except he’s addressed all that. Sure, maybe he’s lying, but he’s been pretty adamant about it.
1. He’s actively said that whatever contract he signs will not be about money, and that he’ll come pretty cheap. If money is a sticking point, that would be a weird negotiation tactic.
2. He was asked point blank about ring chasing, and said that he just wouldn’t view that opportunity as something worth leaving boston for. This is why he’s said time and time again that if there’s no opportunity for him in boston, he’ll just retire, and continue living there.
3. The only reason he isn’t playing in Boston right now is because he’s recovering from surgery.

It seems as if playing for a team other than the bruins is legitimately not an option, but what really seems out of the realm of possibility is moving across a border, and across a continent.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>He doesn't care about the money, he's already <a href="https://www.nhl.com/news/tuukka-rask-playing-status/c-326021000" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">said it</a>.

"<em>For me, it's about that pride of playing for one team and one team only. <strong>I have no reason to chase the money anymore and go somewhere els</strong>e. It's going to be one of those things where the Bruins are my home, Boston is my home. I've always wanted to play here, wanted to stay here. So the money won't be an issue. We had a conversation with [Bruins general manager Don Sweeney] and <strong>I will be a cheap goalie for them</strong></em>."

Now, show me where Tavares said that (and even if he did, it's one guy)</div></div>

Swayman has shown he's good enough for the NHL, sending him to the AHL would be a disservice. Ullmark is the man going forward. Edmonton can offer him a starting role which is the only thing they have over Boston in terms of winning him over. It would be the only reason he signed here if ever.
