This past year. Yeah. He had a down year and a very good playoff. His stat line outside of this outlier year is basically what you would have hoped for.

Not that I believe that package gets the 10th pick. Boston would be better off signing a FA wing and keeping the 10th pick than giving it up for Necas.

Elias Lindholm, if he makes it to free agency, is one of the best centers to make it to the market in years. I don’t anticipate that there will be a better one available next year.

With Norris’s contract length, I’d probably view it the other way around even though I believe he’s the better player. That shoulder scares me

I don’t believe it will take Pinto to secure Ullmark. I could see Chychrun retained or the Boston first plus a prospect like Jarventie might be an interesting play.
I’m curious to see how open Ullmark would be to playing with Ottawa if they gave him the right contract.

While Fitzgerald wouldn’t get into names, other league sources said he continues to show interest in Jacob Markstrom from the Calgary Flames, whom he tried hard to acquire before the March 8 trade deadline, as well as Linus Ullmark from the Boston Bruins. There are other possibilities, too, but those two names would top New Jersey’s list.

(As for Ullmark thing…it’s been reported in multiple places now that Ullmark blocked a move to New Jersey. No one has disputed that yet. And the ‘trade chatter’ for Ullmark to NJD is basically non-existant. So as much as BOS and NJD fans may want it to happen, it’s hard to see Ullmark sign up for 5-6 years in New Jersey if he had them on no trade list. It is what it is…not much can be done).</div></div>
The report is from the same guy.
Also did you not read Pierre Lebrun’s report about Calgary’s top two choices the day after Fitzy’s press conference?
Of the two, you might be the only one who views Garrioich as more credible

If Sens accepted
Somehow I think Utah rejects that deal outright and emphatically,
I also don’t believe Boston does Chychrun straight up because they want to be able to clear money for cap purposes. Maybe if you retain on Chychrun for the 1 year?
I know you can trade him without retention, but trying to figure out if Boston wants to put 4.6 into a D man. Part of me doesn’t believe they will. I’d expect a good prospect in return on top of Chychrun if they were OK with it. Jarventie?

No one is going to want to take Korpisalo’s contract. Calgary should be willing to take Forsberg if it gets them the appropriate return.

I know. I still don’t believe his take on what it would take from Boston or NJ being on Ullmark’s no trade list considering what Ullmark has said matters to him.
The article was pretty clear. Good prospect and a first (most likely the Boston one)

Bruce Garrioch seems like a Jimmy Murphy type. Some aspects you appreciate, but his concept of value seems naive. Also, I’d be stunned if NI was on Ullmark’s no trade list.

Go to your employer and say you’ll reject your next bonus or take a 20 percent pay cut. It’s one thing to say something conceptually vs. actually doing it.
Ultimately, they provided a free service to build up their clicks, which tied to increasing their revenue stream. It was done with the intention to sell.

The Bruins will be adding a 2025 first and not Brandon Bussi to make 10 plausible. I’m not sure if it’s the likely deal.
In the end, I’d expect a 2024 third and a 2025 first (with some protection in year 1)

This makes a lot of sense. I believe it comes down to Boston, Carolina, and Nashville for Lindholm. Not sure what the salary base is there, but European players generally prefer the east coast.
Curious if it’s Toffoli or Bertuzzi to fill DeBrusk’s position.
Numbers are interesting. Curious to see if Heinen takes that discount to stay here. The assumption I have is either he doesn’t sign or they pay less for the veteran defender.

The interest was also in season when both their goalies were injured and they were down to a rookie and a waiver claim. That is no longer the case. They have 3 goalies under contract and healthy.</div></div>
I agree the trade isn’t going to happen and the difference between the goalies isn’t enough for this to happen, but under most measures of GSaX (it does appear to have some differences between models), Ullmark is better by a wide margin over the past two years than Andersen and Pyotr’s advanced metrics are well below as well.

He doesn’t want to go to Carolina now? Since when? I think you might be confusing Necas’s dads statement with Ullmark’s intentions.
Necas has significant upside and you’ll pay for it. While I find the Carolina fans commentary on his relative play to Andersen comical, I do acknowledge that the difference is not high enough to warrant Necas.

I’d think you want Lindholm between Pasta and Zacha.
Curious to see if Sweeney doubles back on Bertuzzi. He wanted to sign him long term and it sounds like he tried harder than he has with JDB.
