I think that there's very little chance anyone is going to give you a second-round draft pick for Ilya Mikheyev. A fourth, maybe, but I doubt that it will be a team that has six LWs under team control for next season already.

Pretty funny. That 2nd is on the wrong side of that Mikheyev deal. Hawks obviously decline.

Hawks decline. They aren't paying anything for Smith. And NOBODY is paying anything to take that Graves contract either.

Dumping 20 mil in cap costs atleast a first. Just tear the team down already.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>What would be the legit price?
$6m x 1 year following an injury season.
Last trade was for two AHLers, previous trade was for Bjork/2nd.
Production has dropped considerably.
I would think a B-prospect and mid-round pick...maybe a bit more if salary was retained.</div></div>
Well, along the lines of what I said before, I think the plan is to let him play a healthy season next to Bedard and figure the rest out at the trade deadline. I doubt there is a price until then, unless some kid forces their way onto the NHL roster in camp and he ends up being the odd man out.

The hawks would bail you out of Husso for the right price, but not interested in the Holl contract.

Hawks have no interest in that, too much money, too much term, and Jason Dickinson is a better player.

Yeah, maybe. But, why would he have accepted a trade to CHI in the first place, then? Either way, CHI doesn't need any more mid or late round picks. So, if he "wants to win", he can try to have a great season, get his value up, and get some trade interest at next seasons deadline.

Interesting tidbit! Doesn't mean the Hawks willingly create a hole on their top line to acquire another 3rd round pick though. If Hall didn't want to play in Chicago, he shouldn't have agreed to the trade last off season. And he kind of owes the Hawks some ice time after collecting $7m for his 10 games played this season.

Hawks easily decline. They have plenty of mid round picks. Hall will get his long awaited opportunity to play on Bedard's LW.

This is a completely honest question... How do you see somebody who wasn't able to muster more than PPG in college as more than a middle-six guy at the next level?</div></div>
Oof. That is a loaded question. I'll have to come back to this tomorrow when I am not half asleep already. haha

That's your first problem. The Pro-Hockey Group and the Capfriendly scouting tool in general are not worth anyones time, if I'm being totally honest. It is full of hobbyists who mostly don't know what they are talking about. Anyone who does know what they are talking about wouldn't say that about Nazar. Third line floor? Maybe. No one is ever a sure thing, but he solidly projects as a top 6 forward as much as anyone.

I disagree. CHI should not be in on Necas, imho. If you were talking about Jarvis, I would be far more interested.

Hawks have the assets available to get Necas, but it is very unlikely that they will part with said assets.

During the game tonight, I was struck once by seeing Nazar direct traffic in the D-zone (when the Canes were having one of the long stints there). For a kid in his first game to know where responsibly to be - and where others should be - in the defensive zone, and then to talk about it on the ice, said a LOT to me. He very well be up here to stay.

Chicago says no, but the Sharks have absolutely 0 reason to pay someone to take a player. They have infinite cap space, just keep him around. It's not like the team will make the playoffs either way. Don't like the Marchessault signing either, he's 33 and will be 35-36 before the Sharks are even competing again.

Why would you pay to dump Vlasic with that much cap space? Also why would Chicago agree to take on that much salary for that little?
