(CHI / ARI) - Dauphin, Murphy for Hjalmarsson

Agreed. And Murphy has 5 years left on his deal, while Hjalmarsson only has 2 years. Don't see why Chicago wanted Murphy</div></div>
My guess is they couldn't sign Hjammer after the two years and they instead have Murphy for an additional three years

Grading the Expansion Draft
They got some players that will pull in some pretty decent assets at next years deadline. I don't think it was a total disaster but I think I they made some big mistakes and left some talent on the board. They have three good picks which will probably serviceable players. I think they could flip Neal and Perron for good assets next you.

How many goalies would you pick in expansion draft?
I'm going with four. Because I don't think they want the exspensive goalies and should go young. They will probably take someone out of Sweden and and a goalie in the later rounds of the entry draft. I am making Pittsburgh pay me to take Fluery and help them get out of their cap hell and not take Rust. In Arizona I would probably leave Domingue alone and take Burnistrov of Pulkkinen. I would give some thought to Mrazek instead on Raanta and instead take Puemple or Lindberg.
My picks would be
Raanta
Gruebauer
Ullmark
Subban or Bimmngton.

Vegas can just take fluery. There is no way the pens are getting anything from him unless they manage to trade him somewhere else.

Since the Habs are not regularly playing Galch at center--which they really should be--and getting Drioun I assume he will be sent out of town for an older defender and a pick.

I assume it is so they can protect Zadorov. I think that we can assume that they will protect Mackinnon, Duchene, Landeskog, Soderberg, Grigorernko, Johnson (NMC) Barrie, Zadorov, and Pickard. meaning they have two forward protection spots remaining.

I think Carolina is still a couple of moves away. Scott Darling was a good start but I think they will going to go young like Toronto, however they are in the metro which is just a bloodbath to the finish.

July 1 Predictions
I like Eaves to the Flyers as he is the kind of player that Hextall likes. But I do think there is a shot he still goes back to Dallas. The fans loved him and if he comes back Dallas basically just loaned him for to the ducks for a couple of months. I don't have a really good reason for why he would come back to Dallas but hey stranger things have happened

What are some players to look out for (Fantasy)
Depending on what your league keeps I have a few suggestions Similar to Grabner or Kadri, look for players who had unusually low shooting percentage (comparative to their career) who would potentially drop to later rounds because people would be put off. Eric Staal had a great year but he probably will not reach that level again.
For under the under 24s Jesse Puljuravi just lit up worlds after a slow start I expect him to make the Oilers and get some good point.
I also like Brayden Point for a young guy as he stepped into a busted line up and performed great in the 17 minutes he averaged a night.

Basically. If that is the asking price from Vegas they might rob a few teams blind.

Phaneuf's NMC
I think he will. If Vegas does take him I don't think he would mind as his wife works in LA and it is a short drive. Also Vegas wouldn't have to worry about him getting into trouble and would place him probably in a leadership role. if they would take him. Ottawa would get out of that salary so ideally it does not matter if Phaneuf gets selected. If he waves the clause it sets Ottawa up for a pretty good expansion draft.

I think Vegas will take Grubauer than a veteran who can act as a mentor, and a prospect goalie like Sparks, Subban, Ullmark, etc.
If Fleury is available Vegas will take him, but Pittsburgh will do all they can to trade Fleury before the expansion draft (probably to Calgary).</div></div>
I don't know if they would take him. I think they like the younger, cheap goaltenders like Raanta, and Grubauer in net with Subban or Ullmark as a prospect.

Based on some reports the Blue Jackets did not ask Hartnell to lift his no movement clause meaning they most likely have a deal for Vegas in place. What does that deal include? Which pick/prospect or player?
I do not know much about the Jackets farm system, but I would assume that Vegas would take one of their prospect or picks with Jack Johnson (eating the last year of the 4.36M cap hit)

Rick Nash.
Based on the cap hit, and production I would assume that he could be picked somewhere between what the Leafs paid for Boyle (A prospect and a second round pick) and less than what Minny paid for Hanzel (first and third/prospect). I think those are the high end and low end are but GMs are probably going to be losing their mind in a little bit.
