I don’t see Lou trading him , but it’s clear the the isles lost the trade. Romanov has struggled

And, personally, I think we need to focus on getting younger regardless if we make the playoffs, (somehow) win the Stanley cup, or miss the playoffs. Maybe a team who cannot fit a young player on their team with the current cap hit, could make a trade with us. Who would you choose? personally, I'd go with Casey Middelstadt or a player of that caliber & hope he works out.
Keeping draft picks would be a good idea as well</div></div>
I feel like Hanifin would be looking at a deal between Pelech and Toews. Maybe 8x6-6.5M
Hanifin is only 26, honestly outside of the 4th line the roster isnt that old (and Eberle in this hypothetical) very young defense and most forwards are 30 or younger.

Clark was a Nords legend, they traded Clark to get Claude Lemeiuax. Who ended up being one of the key players for the Av's Stanley Cup win.
The Devils got Steve Thomas from NYI in that 3 way trade.

What is his price
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AnonymousSensFan</b></div><div>The price is a big bodied winger, mid 20s, making 5m or less for 4+ years, who has scored 25+ goals/70+ points. In addition to that, add an unprotected first round pick.
Don't like the price? That's cool, we'll keep him and you can go shopping elsewhere.
Sens need to make the playoffs this years. They aren't trading an important part of their top 6 for futures, or prospects that may or may not work out. If you want him, give us a better/comparable player that we can drop in for replacement and a pick for the hassle (no cap space for another player in return beyond replacement).
Sens are good on D, they are good in goal. What they need is big wingers that can score lots of goals/points, under team friendly deals for a few years. Basically, the type of player you want to take away.
So yeah, probably not gonna happen. But hey, if you are dead set on getting Bath, get ready for a huge overpay</div></div>

We lost too much scoring with Bert and Vrana. We can't afford to lose Kubalik's 20+ goals. Stevie will move him at the trade deadline.

anyway, like all the trades personally, I'd also find a way to trade away Palmieri.</div></div>
i refuse to be misinterpreted! no matter how many words it takes!!!
Palmieri is hard to move for me, because full NTC through the end of this year and 16 team NTC the rest of the way on his deal - his performance isn't *awful*, either. He's basically a 20-20-40/82 GP type of player now, which makes him like $1-1.5M overpaid. With his NTC and contract though, I don't know who's taking him - contenders will be too tight against the cap to take $5M and lottery teams are gonna want to get paid to to take a 32 year old with a $5M AAV. I'd just ride it out at this point and hope he stays somewhat useful.

what I can see lou doing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChrisNapoleon</b></div><div>Bailey is not the worst forward in the NHL. many people are worse than him, but on the Islanders, YES. I'd trade him away in a package for Lawson Crouse or Dube + extras personally. I'd rather sign Mayfield to a short-term semi-team friendly deal (3x3?) Engvall deal I like. I'd find a way to trade Palmieri too. He has an M-NTC next year, so just gotta find one of the 16 teams that want him. That Wahlstrom contract offer is going to go to arbitration if it's that low imo.</div></div>
I can't see a team in the league wanting to take on his contract without significant sweeteners. Id rather let mayfield walk, but Lou tends to give out awful deals to bottom pair caliber defenseman. I'd like the engvall deal if It were 3 years shorter. Agree with moving palmieri, but I can't see anyone taking his contract either.
Regarding Wahlstrom, he's not arbitration eligible for another year. I can see him taking the 1.8 mill on a 1 year deal and then filing for arbitration the following year to get more leverage.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChrisNapoleon</b></div><div>Gotta hand it to Bergeron and Marchand, they signed team friendly deals & went to 3 Stanley cup finals. I voted no from a financial POV. It’s great their keeping Pasta around no doubt, but I think it’s too high of a cap for a team that wants to continue winning for the foreseeable future (without Bergeron)</div></div>
I suspect they’ll find a way to make it work. Usually it’s not the stars that are the problem. It’s the guys you’re paying $5-7M to be average.

(LAK/CBJ) - 1st, Quick for Gavrikov, Korpisalo
Quick and Kane traded within less than 24 hours. Truly the end of an era.
I love Gav for LA, Korpi should be decent as well. Good trade on paper, but the disrespect to Quick is harsh. Hopefully he is flipped to a contender, wish he would've retired a King
