Montreal Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>total_knut</b></div><div>I think Eakin has to be moved given his UFA status. Roy is ready for that spot, or even Nosek is a natural center if needed. I still think there's an intriguing trade for Justin Schultz involving Eakin. I don't see Pittsburgh resigning Schultz any more than I see VGK resigning Eakin. Sensible swap.</div></div>
Vegas could definitely use a guy like Schultz.

It appears the morning skate has Glass between Carrier and Tuch....we may get our wish finally!!!!! Boy I hope they can find some quick/instant magic because on paper that's an awesome line.</div></div>
I hope it works today so that way Eakin can be moved to 4th line center or can be traded.

Eakin has to go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>Care to expand it a little further? Isles could use another forward in Bridgeport with NHL experience. I think Pirri works well and seeing VGK just waived him shouldn't be costly at all. If something happens with our forwards he would be a nice call up
4th and Ho-Sang for Eakin and Pirri?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Warrior24</b></div><div>Eakin would be a great fit for the Isles. Would Vegas be interested in just a pick back, or maybe Thomas Hickey as well?
Could also include Ho-Sang if there is any interest.</div></div>
I think Vegas likes hanging on to Pirri because if there's any injuries to the top 6, Tuch will move up and Pirri will slide into Tuch's spot. There would probably be interest in Ho-Sang and Hickey however.

Eakin has to go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>goodfella</b></div><div>Is this a reaction to last nights game or something? Dell was out of his mind that game.
Also, Dell not getting a star last night was comically petty from the Vegas media. I was dying laughing.</div></div>
Not so much last night, more on the entire season. He just sucks the offense out of whoever he's playing with, plus keeping him at center means keeping Glass at wing and that isn't helping Glass. Since he's been with Marchessault and Stone, they've been worse. When he was with Glass and Zykov/Pirri/Tuch they did NOTHING offensively. He's a good PKer and a good defender, but not much else.

Eakin has to go
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>total_knut</b></div><div>I was wondering if there isn't a way to swap UFA's who appear destined for FA. Like Eakin for Justin Schultz (although he's injured now), or Eakin for Bogozian (although retained salary would be necessary), or Eakin for Ceci. I really think Glass needs to be playing center instead of wing and it almost seems like Eakin is preventing that from happening.
But I gotta say....your third line of Carrier-Glass-Tuch is PERFECT. I have been wanting to see Carrier and Reavo on separate lines for a year now. Carrier seems to be skating at a whole other level this year and with Glass and Tuch...those three would be a real treat to watch. Come on Gallant, give it a shot.</div></div>
If Carrier had any finish in his game he would be a stud. But I think having his energy and speed along with Tuch and Glass's playmaking would be lethal.

What is Deadline Cap Space
Capfriendly has deadline cap space for every team. Is this the amount of a contract that a team can add today and still be cap compliant, or the amount they can add at the deadline? Or am I off and it is something completely different?

Vegas needs a puck moving offensive dman. Mayfield isn't that. That's the only way they trade anyone in their top 6/Tuch is if they get a fast skating offensive dman back.

Coghlan, Elvenes, and a 2nd definitely isn't nothing. Elvenes is 2nd in the AHL in scoring and Coghlan is a promising RHD.

The names that Ottawa are going to look to trades are guys like Tierney, Demelo, Pageau (depending on extension), hainsey, Ennis, Namesnekov</div></div>
What would Tierney and Demelo cost to acquire?

Who did Vegas get a better deal from at TDL.
CBJ
William Karlsson, Clarkson’s contract, and a 2nd.

MAF and a 2nd....for future considerations, helped swallow some cap on the reaves trade.</div></div>
MAF is the most important player on the team, but Karlsson has been the most consistent skater and has played every game. I think without Karlsson the team is still playoff bound, but without MAF, Vegas would be mediocre at best.

Trade for Wingers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EzioUchiha</b></div><div>That's an overpayment. Devils aren't getting A+ prospect if Taylor Hall wants out of New Jersey. This isn't in the same scenario as other trade where players wanted out. (e.g. 1st Duchene trade, Eric Lindros trade or Paul George trade)
If Hall is included in a sign-and-trade, they should look at the Mark Stone trade as a benchmark.
- 1st round pick
- Brannstrom type of prospect (A or A-)
- Depth player for salary dump purpose
If Hall is shipped as rental, Devils will probably get a package that is slightly better than Duchene.
- 1st round pick
- B prospect (prospect better than the Abramov and Davidsson)</div></div>
Don't want to be nitpicky, but the Stone trade was a second, not a first.

Pietrangelo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EzioUchiha</b></div><div>If Pietrangelo was to be traded, I think it would be a sign-and-trade to maximize the return so I would look at the Mark Stone trade as a benchmark.
- 1st round pick
- Top prospect
- Roster/depth player bc the time acquiring Pietrangelo would probably cap space</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>STLBlues17</b></div><div>That’s a soft offer. The Blues aren’t gonna trade him unless they’re out of it, and if that happens you’re looking at something like one of Hague/Krebs/Elvenes + 1st +. Think of the Duchene trade last year but probably more considering Pietrangelo’s better and the Blues have seemingly more leverage.</div></div>
Stone was traded for a second, a prospect, and a roster player. So would a trade of a 2nd, Hague, and Eakin be enough? The second could be whichever one St Louis wants.
Also does the fear of Pietrangelo leaving in the off-season play a role?
