Vegas won't move Tuch. This offer is not bad, but it creates a hole for them and he is a big part of their team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BStinson</b></div><div>So because Buch’s GFx60 and Corsi were higher playing with some combination of Zibanejad, Kreider, and Panarin he’s a better player than Sergachev who commonly played with Coburn, Shattenkirk, and Bogosian. Those charts don’t mean anything without context. Those same charts made Brendan Smith looks better than Drew Doughty 5-7 years ago. Buch is a fine player (I’m not debating that) but he’s a second liner ideally and those guys don’t pull top 4 defensemen at age 22 with top pairing potential. Prime curves are interesting as elite forwards I’d wager hit their primes in early 20s while defensemen I’d say mid 20s.</div></div>
those metrics isolate the player, and if you take a look, Buchnievich's numbers are better than both Kreider and Zibanejad for this year.

<a href="https://imgur.com/eMEQMgI" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://imgur.com/eMEQMgI</a>. take a look at their respective RAPM charts. Buchnievich is also only 25 and just entering his prime. I agree that defenseman have more value than wingers but Buch is just a better player, and his value is equal to, if not more than Sergachev's.

All that garbage doesn't even get you Byfield. Lemieux, Smith, Rykov, Andersson, and two 7th really don't add much value. The Rangers can't trade Fast because he isn't under contract; he is a pending UFA. DeAngelo and a 1st (between 21 and 24) doesn't get you the 3rd overall pick, and definitely not Turcotte along with it. To get value, you have to give value.

Bergevin isn't that bad of a GM, there's no way he accepts this. Maybe Tony D + a prospect + a pick could get you Danault. Buchnievich alone is worth as much as Sergachev imo, there's no need for that first.

Hajek and two 2nd rounders will NOT get Dunn from STL, thats ridiculous.
I refuse to pay OTT a 2nd rounder to take Smiths contract off the books, rather bury him in the minors.
Strome's value is more of a 4th rounder at best, no one is paying for stats inflated by Panarin.
I have no idea what that MTL trade is about.
So... in short, none of the trades make any sense.</div></div>
If you take a look at Strome’s isolated xGF/60 rates, you’ll see that they’re through the roof, and that’s not on Panarin. Strome has a very solid offensive impact, his point totals have been inflated by Panarin because he doesn’t have that finishing ability.

For the most part, this is really solid. I don't see anyone taking on Trouba so that most likely won't happen, and Lemieux probably gets a 3rd and another low value piece. Besides that, this looks pretty great.

look at <a href="/users/sagecoll" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@sagecoll</a> 's comment and you'll see how good Buch really is. He's a fringe top liner who creates many of his own oppurtinities. We aren't looking to trade him, at least not yet, considering that neither Kakko nor Kravtsov have taken major steps forward in their development. Buch will cost a late 1st + a good prospect, or a guy like Bjornfot.

lmao we have no interest in moving laf to begin with. if a team comes caling and seems really interested, especially a team in the conference, we would have all the bargaining power and the other team (montreal in this case) would have no leverage. If Gorton wants all that, that's what he'll demand, and it would just be up to how much Bergevin wants Lafreniere.

i wasn't saying that they'd have to put both firsts in the deal, just that drouin isn't as attractive to us as Romanov. And also, any team that is trading up for #1 will have to overpay significantly, because even if it matches in value, it still doesn't give us a reason to move a franchise winger.

Too Good to be True
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Book_Hockey</b></div><div>TDA is a PP specialist and an offensive defenseman. He plays minimal defense, and I’m sure a lot of teams don’t like his attitude, since it’s been an issue since he was drafted and has continued during his tenure with the Rangers. Tony D doesn’t have “attitude problems”. He shares his political opinions and gets hate for it because they differ from the status quo. All his teammates love him and he’s a good guy. The fact that he is a powerplay quarterback and elite offensively is where he gains his value.

no, the value of a 1st rounder plus a little more is reasonable. Perhaps a 2nd rounder in addition to the first may be a little steep, but a 1st + a 3rd, or a 1st + a B prospect should definitely do it.

Center Depth
One you put Lundkvist in the trade it's an automatic no. Maybe we could trade Miller or Kravtsov, but there's no way we're trading Nils Lundvist. I really llike Anthony Cirelli, but Tampa isn't in a position of leverage and if no one takes on guys like Killorn, Gourde, and Johnson (who they'll be looking to trade this offseason), then teams will certainly be able to take Cirelli or Sergachev for less. Also, there is no way DeAngelo accepts that.
