I could see a bridge deal happening here as he is just coming off his ELC. The steady progression he's shown though might complicate things.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trdeJong</b></div><div>I agree Hanifin will or might get more in the future but not now... I would go a bridge deal and less money!
I also would NOT trade Stone as we need the depth on D... Finally splitting up Backs and Frolik is not the right move... Leave them both on the 3rd where they shine!
Watch Janko explode with Chuckey and Neal to set him up!</div></div>
Janko on line 2 would be fantastic; there's a part of me that thinks we might have something really special in him, some of those goals he scored were incredible and he's a big player who can handle the puck at speed. Somewhere Jay Feaster is laughing/smiling.

Need to keep Ryan to reach cap floor :/
Why do think Arizona has taken LTIR players....to reach the cap floor or at least padded their cap. Yes, Gaborik and McArthur can count against the cap. Sens are keeping Ryan though, no sane team would want him. Elder isn't waiving his NTC for Ottawa.

They get a capable forward a dman a first a fourth a goalie prospect which they need and a young winger prospect. This will be the best offer they will get period.</div></div>
Hahaha... no. Kosterjr is right. Even if there's no extension worked out beforehand, some team will pony up a very high end prospect in a package for one year of Karlsson. Gourde's a fine player, Raddysh's a fine prospect, and the TBay first is going to be late. But there's no single piece in that package that the Sens can point to their fans to say they got a really exciting future piece coming back.

Probably a bit more, i actually thought it was a pretty close deal when i made it. Looking at it now a few days later i think im short.

What would it take to get ROR now the 3rd overall pick is out?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>MTL definitely has other pieces to get a deal done. It just depends what Habs management is willing to give up. What your suggesting is just an overpayment.
Juulsen and the 2019 1st + a roster player seems plausible, but definitively not Domi. look at the trade that BUF gave for ROR as a template (even if ROR was more valuable back then). They gave:
Zadorov (a solid defensive 1st rd prospect back then who had 15pts in his rookie season)
Compher (2nd rd prospect)
Grigorenko (was already a 1st rd bust, project player)
2nd rd pick
for ROR + Mcginn (who was considered back then as a solid 2nd-3rd liner)
I'll concede that Zadorov was a better prospect back then than Juulsen is now. so let say Juulsen + MTL 2019 1st (top 10 protected) = Zadorov and the 2nd rd pick. that leaves Compher and Grigorenko, which absolutely does not equal Domi in what your suggesting. More realistically is Lehkonen + McCarron.
to BUF -> Juulsen + Lehkonen + McCarron + 2019 1st (top 10 protected)
to MTL -> ROR + whatever you deem is a good 2nd-3rd liner value wise from BUF
this considering ROR somehow hasn't lost any value being 3 years older than when BUF first acquired him.</div></div>
I agree what i said is an overpayment. Have you seen what the asking price has been though? Doesn’t matter what you think is fair. Only matters what they are willing to take. If he isn’t traded by the end of the week he won’t be traded at all. And if the price does not come down he won’t be. But other teams have much better prospect pools to pull from than Habs do.

Jets 2019-2020
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Codyymd16</b></div><div>Jets dont have a bad contract on that team, when every team has a bad contract. the only one thats questionable is Little, but i think if Stasney doesnt resign Little will get the 2nd line job and produce more. but i will say i think Morrissey will sign for 5+ mill</div></div>
Josh Morrissey has never had over 27 points in a season. Offense always gets rewarded at the contract negotiation table and good defense usually takes a back seat. Case in point, Tyler Myers and Chris Tanev. I love the guy, but if he makes over 5+ million that means our GM of the year candidate isn't doing a GM of the year kind of job. As for mistakes. Chevy has pulled at least two bits of magic for every mistake he has ever made in the last 7 years. God forbid he overpay one of our guys, I fully expect him to strike a bargain with someone else.
As for 2C production, I'm much more concerned about rates. Roslovic has easily the highest points per minute of ice time, (better than most NHL 1st liners,) so I'd like to see him get the nod at 2C to start the season. If Jackie fails to live up to the hype both Lowry and Little produce points on par with a 2C based on their ice time.

VGK you gotta get rid of something to get something, but thats not the case, you gotta get rid of somethign to get rid of something here
MTL i do think that ROR is the better player, but because hes a bit older which makes his value even with Drouin</div></div>
Buffalo doesn't wanna trade Risto, some people just seem to think he is expendale now....

Straight swap would greatly help MN cap savings of 5M for first year they could then flip Brodin to MTL or NYI etc for a good return. So agreed no reason for the picks

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeterChiarelli</b></div><div>Regardless of whether it's fair or not, why? Puljujarvi is an unknown quantity. He's going to have a high ceiling: remember he can still barely speak English and he's been in the league for TWO years. The Oilers have grossly mismanaged his development. Once the coaching staff can properly work out his warts and communicate with him, he will take off. No sense in giving up on a kid that just turned 20. Especially considering his draft pedigree.
Klefbom brings more to the table than Spurgeon outside of handedness. There are more attractive RHD out there.
I don't think anything besides Zucker in this deal is worth moving that far down in the draft for, letalone losing the long term aspect of this deal.</div></div>
