Josh Anderson(20 Goals) + Murray(Career Year) for Drouin, IMO would be an overpayment, but it probably isn't to other people

opinions on this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CN10</b></div><div>I think Murray and Korpisalo would be a good package trade to Montreal for either picks to make up for keeping Duchene, or for Drouin if the Jackets don't keep Duchene and they can shake him loose from Bergevin. The Habs were unhappy with him to end the year, but he was a high profile acquisition so perhaps they give him more time and just move the picks. It's a team that needs a steady strong skating LHD to pair with Weber and backup goalie to actually win some games when they give Price the night off.
I also agree Milano is heading for a change of scenery trade. I think a team like Vegas who will need young cheap players coming up and have the picks to spare would be a good trade partner.
They may go after a goalie with starting experience to allow Merzilikins to ease his way into the NHL. I think a guy like Varlamov will come cheaply and would be willing to take a short term prove it contract. They could also take the trial by fire approach and keep both he and Korpisalo and see if either can be starting NHL goaltenders.</div></div>
10/10 Statement

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>djbaker0513</b></div><div>So you are letting Korpi & Murray just walk away? The only reason to sign Milano is to trade him. He is done in Columbus. Jackets will not be signing Mrazek either. You also have to give Ottawa the 1st round pick in 2020.</div></div>
Yep, done dealing with Murray's injuries at terrible times. Milano is a speedy winger who will get one last shot to prove himself, Mrazek deserves that contract so that's why in this "hypothetical" situation I gave it to him. Ottawa should get that 2020 1st round pick.

Decent
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CN10</b></div><div>Werenski's deal looks fair, but for $7.5M I think the Jackets should push for the full 8 years. I think I'd go to $7M on a 5 or 6-year term. Milano's deal is what he's worth and probably his last chance to stick in the NHL. He doesn't play that high up the lineup though. Korpisalo's deal is perfect, but I don't think you carry three goalies at the NHL level. I honestly think they don't go sign a long term starter, and instead have Merzilikins and Korpisalo compete to be the starter, or perhaps sign a short term starter to mentor Merzilikins and deal Korpisalo to a team in need of a backup.
I would not sign Mrazek long term, but he would be a decent signing on a 2 or 3-year deal while they find out if Merzilikins is their goalie of the future. I think $5.5M is a bit steep (probably a million or so more than I think he's worth). Duchene's deal is about a half million too much but not too bad. Giving up another first to keep him and ponying up that huge contract may end up backfiring a few years down the road though.</div></div>
I think Duchene's contract is more than enough too, but Kevin Hayes's contract just made Duchene's numbers go up as well.
I agree with the statements you made about Mrazek.

Dream Scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ajp_18</b></div><div>And how is this a dream scenario? Trading your team captain for nothing and buying out one of the other leaders? Also Foudy isn’t NHL ready yet and if he is I hope they don’t ruin him by playing him on the 4th line.</div></div>
Why do you hate the Blue Jackets?
Can't tell if you are being serious asking about this being a dream scenario.
Keeping Future skilled core together is a dream scenario.

Blue Jackets might accept 50/50 with Jarmo. If you add a pick, and I mean any pick 4th round or higher I think he would definitely accept IMO. Great trade.

They would be better off sending off Dubinski. No way they trade Foligno he's a good captain. Sticks up for his teammates etc..</div></div>
Buffalo does not have Skinner's rights so they can't sign him to an 8-year deal.

maybe if we offer Duchene enough money in his eyes, same Dzingel. But, i dont think anybody stays tbh.
We have enough money to sign every body if we buyout Dubinsky, trade Foligno and Wennberg .

Yep. We would at least have to buy out Dubinsky's contract and Trade Foligno somehow unless he starts scoring again.
