Id run this Saturday in Philly
If it is not broke why fix it, I'd continue to roll the same top 6 but yes to the 4th line:
Bunting Matthews Marner
Mikheyev Tavares Kerfoot
Engvall Kampf Nylander
Abruzzese Blackwell Spezza (keep Jason on RW)

Robertson Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Marshallchapman9</b></div><div>Campbell would be taking a serious paycut to stay in Toronto for that</div></div>
In the month of January Campbell had a save percentage of .880 and a goals-against average of 3.57. This is most hockey he has played as a number 1 in his career. Let’s pump the breaks on what his next contract could look like.
In November, Campbell posted a .959 save percentage and had three shutouts. These numbers are completely unsustainable. He is somewhere in the middle.
I have confidence he will regain his form but a deal in the 4-5 AAV is totally realistic.

Likely a good take. What happens to Engvall in this scenario?

I wonder if Kase has any chance to get back to what he was
Leafs have the best medical staff in the business so if he cant turn it around here he probably cant anywhere
That being said I really like Kase and I hope he can turn it around

I wouldnt necessarily call it "horrible", Mrazek is a great goalie and the Leafs now have a highly reliable goalie tandem

I predict Kerfoot gets taken
Pretty sure Foligno wants to sign in MIN to play with his Bro. Love to have him back tho. I really hope we keep McCann but if I’m Seattle I’m selecting him

I could see Seatlle going with Kerfoot or McCann. The reason I think McCann has more value is that if he has a good season you can trade him for more than if Kerfoot has a good season because he's an RFA whereas Kerfoot would only have 1 year left.
The benefits with Kerfoot are that he's from nearby so maybe he resigns for cheaper. He also has a longer record of performing well in both the regular season and post season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Couvy</b></div><div>Good points there. I think it's hard to go wrong either way. I love that these are the types of problems we have lol</div></div>
Absolutely, it’s a great debate to have. And I trust that Keefe will put the best roster he can on the ice. I could care less if I’m wrong and Galchenyuk is in, IMO I don’t, but as long as the Leafs go on a long run in the playoffs, I’m talking like Eastern Conference Finals, then I don’t care who is in the lineup.

Is Galchenuyk a possibilty moving forward
In this small sample, Galchenyuk has already showed more promise than any other players the Leafs have experimented with on a line with John Tavares and William Nylander. The numbers have been tremendous with Galchenyuk, over 30 minutes at five-on-five across segments of four games, the Leafs' second line is earning a ridiculous 65 percent share of the shot and shot-attempt volume, while amassing 81 percent ownership of scoring chances and 83 percent of the expected goals, as calculated by Natural Stat Trick.
What's been most impressive in his four-game trial with them, has been his work, or work rate, off the puck, using speed and tenacity on the forecheck to win puck battles and create 50-50 opportunities to recover possession. Even Muzzin said he was the hardest working guy on the team right now.
IMO if he plays like this till the TDL they don’t add a top 6 fwd, but someone to play on the 3rd line. Or a depth D, maybe both

Why not he's been solid so far and is a perfect fit on that 2nd line. His forecking really surprised me when I first watched him.

Who gets in to start season
I wouldn't call Spezza a lock. On D I think the only three locks are Rielley, Muzzin and Brodie. The rest, including Sandin, will be competing for a spot.
of the players in consideration I think you could add Korshkov and Brooks to the list.
With that said, I like the 6 D you've proposed as being the opening night roster but I'd flip Lehtonen and Dermott. Of the fowards, I think you add Vessey, Barabanov. I want Robertson on the team this year but I think he has to start down for cap reasons.

Vesey and Barabanov in, but I've been changing my mind every few days or so.
I agree with your defence lineup, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see Bogo squeeze his way in there.

Nobody wants him that much.
Considering FLA asked for Johnson and Dermott and were turned down by Leafs i seriously doubt Leafs would be willing to pay even more.

Dermotts turn
My gut is saying dubas trades either Holl or Dermott and goes with a 22 man roster. Just my gut, and Personally, i think holl should be the one to go, you cant be paying your bottom four dman who's carried by muzzin 2mil.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MitchMarner_16</b></div><div>Seriously though, Every single leaf fan on here sees that holl is a right shot, and thinks hes the next coming of Ryan Ellis or Dougie Hamilton.
Nobody can see past the fact that he's carried by Muzzin and that he shoots right.
Last year before he was played with muzzin he was a healthy scratch.
If he shot left he'd be traded or scratched.
Tbh, i dont care what hand they shoot, i just want good hockey players, and i think dermott is better and has a higher ceiling.</div></div>
100% correct about the first part. Holl is a number 6/7, no more no less. Just because he had 12 good games in the top 4 in 19-20 doesn't mean he's a top4 d-man.
The issue with Dermott is his decision making, he really needs to step up in that department or get the hell out of the organization, he can be so frustrating to watch. IMO he hasn't proven that he's more than a good number 5, unlike what a lot of TML fans seem to believe.
