Great signing by the Oilers. I heard Kane is a very good locker room guy that causes no drama whatsoever

That might not be enough to get one of those pieces on their own... The most attractive part of that deal at this point is the Oilers 1st. m

I agree 100%. We can hope though, right d is always at a premium, and if we retain he's pretty cheap.

Vegas always finds a way man they are scary :tearsofjoy
Grigensons perhaps I just think Asplund is better for cheaper</div></div>
Miller was a healthy scratch in his early time with the Sabres, he hasn't been since. RD is a very sought after position in the NHL and if Buffalo retains they could get a pretty decent return for him
They can't on this one without moving out more core players. Honestly Vegas is way better off going for a cheaper top 6 center and keeping their insane depth
Asplund being "better" doesn't have anything to do with Girg's trade value, he's still an effective bottom 6 shutdown guy with a lot of physicality. Great pick up for playoff runs, plus he comes with an extra year

Cant just have a 22mil cap space left hanging.
While I agree youth has to play, youve got to surround them with somebody to shoulder the load/show them the way forward. You've got to make some public attempt to try and ice a competitive team, those young guys have talent but many probably won;t develop with the assistance in that lineup

Vegas can't fit that under the cap

Ek is an exceptionally underrated centre in the league and is a great 2C even on a contending team. I like this deal a lot.

If the Pens are clearing Jarry to bring in a major upgrade then that's a pretty solid deal. I don't think Jarry's value is that great right now, so a 3rd round is a perfectly fine return. The only thing I'd insist on is making the 2021 3rd from FLA is a 2022 BUF 3rd.
Pens might be able to get a 2nd for him. I mean, they got one for Murray, but I think that playoff performance hurt him pretty bad.

Probably have to take out Manson, that’s prob pushing it.
And I doubt Henrique waives M-NTC for BUF. The Sabres would be smart to get a third team involved, and then trade Henrique directly to them after retaining salary to up the return
