Wild decline. Foligno has been one of the Wild's best forwards this year and he is a great leader.

The UFA offers for Mccabe and ullmark are probably below market value, even in a COVID flat cap world, Again I think BUF will have to overpay some of these guys, and these are probably not overpays enough.</div></div>
Ullmark gets hurt every year and still gets a raise. Mccabe might not be ready to start the season so he takes a 1 year deal instead of trying to sign somewhere off an injury. Look at how covid affected signings this past year. It might be worse this upcoming year.

Not so crazy about mitts on cozens line, even though I've done it before...maybe swap his spot for olofsson. I like the trade too, risto and tage for yandle and copp makes sense if jets do it. Getting older but contracts are very manageable.</div></div>
Frankly mittelstadt is better 5 on 5 than Olofsson and he and skinner have played well together.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DDossett</b></div><div>Well i dont think we get meier. But a little hypnosis on karlson could get him moving do you like swapping him for skinner as bad contracts go?</div></div>
No, I would like to see what else Skinner can do with a good coach and in the top 6. Karlsson's contract is worse, he is older, he is more prone to injury, he is not a shutdown defenseman, he will not be a good partner for Dahlin. Also, we should not trade our first round for Timo Meier.
Also, you shouldn't trade Olofsson for Bennett. Olofsson is much more expensive and Bennett cannot produce. If you want to get Bennett or a player of his type, you can do it much cheaper.
This lineup is bad because: Okposo and Komarov washed and can no longer play in the NHL and produce. Bennett and Pekar too cannot produce. Mitts and R2 almost not proven players. Bailey will age badly too and will not be worth his contract. I would have had a completely different vision of our squad next season.

Staal is probably the most interesting piece for the Avs from BUF. #3C is the biggest area of weakness on the Avs.

The Wild have ZERO interest in Staal. He was traded away for a reason and he won't be welcomed back even if we need a Center. It wasn't probably anything he personally did, but BG changed the locker room and him leaving was part of that change. He got rid of most of the vets he could that were "in charge" of that locker room... and would have moved 11 and 20 if he could.

I think I prefer to keep Tatar. I think Hall, like Duchene have some bad luck on their back. Anywhere they go, teams start to be really bad.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nhl_oilers</b></div><div>Hall isn’t normally a bad player, but this year he hasn’t been playing good at all. 23GP 2G 12A 14P -13+/-. When you are known for getting goals, you should be getting more than 2 in 23 games. I honestly don’t see Buffalo getting a first, and if they did then the team that did the trade may of made a huge mistake. No team should be giving a first plus more.</div></div>
He’s shooting 3 percent.. he’s generating tons of chances it just one of those years. His defensivie game has been great too. Buffalo isn’t retaining half and also giving up a 6th for an average player like Kerfoot..

I'm sure there will be better offers then this. It's crazy to me that every single Leafs trade I see for Hall involves Kerfoot and or Kerfoot and Engvall. Is he really that bad ?

My Eichel offer
I would think at least Horvat would be going back in any Eichel trade -- and then you run Pettersson and Eichel as your top 2 centers in whatever order you want.
Horvat, Podz, Rathbone, Virtanen, 1st -- still doesn't really feel great if I'm BUF. Maybe Boeser instead of Horvat? Not sure VAN has the pieces to get it done -- or if they want to mess with their cap by adding $10m Eichel with Pettersson and Hughes needing new contracts.

Hronek
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>matulix</b></div><div>So our best F prospect ABB is not good enough?</div></div>
I'm not sure that is point he is trying to make. Here is how I see it. If Johnson does waive for Detroit (highly doubtful in my opinion) he is as much of a cap dump as he is valuable player from the Wing's pov. Around Christmas time last season there was a long discussion about Hronek for Sergachev 1 for 1 and the conclusion made was its a lateral move since they are pretty close talent wise but that was when Sergachev was still on an ELC. With Hronek still on an ELC and having no idea what Sergachev is asking for ABB doesn't cover Johnson's contract and the difference between Sergachev's contract and Hronek's $714,166 for next season. With the league wanting to play a shortened season similar to what happened during the last lockout it will be at least 3 seasons before the cap raises more than $1M in a single offseason. Cap space will be at a premium even more so than it is now.

This is a whole year from now, after buffalo takes the league by storm. Eichel wins the Hart, hall scores 40 goals, stamkos has his feelings hurt by reading all these trades by lightning fans who say they didn't need him to win the cup.

You are over the cap but that can easily be fixed by moving out someone like Girgensons or sending a forward down to the AHL, like Lazar

granlund
I wanted Kahun back to push Cozens into the 3C position with solid veteran support and offensive talent. Since he went to Edmonton for peanuts, I’d love love love to see Granlund. Another RW would allow for a ton of flexibility during a truncated season with higher injury/COVID risk. I know management is concerned about bonus carryover but with so much uncertainty, they should field the best team possible and split the $1.4875M 19/20 bonus penalty over two years to squeeze this deal in.
