Flyers cannot do this unless they move both of Walker and Seeler, and even then I don't think they can afford to move Frost before knowing they have another Center coming in sooner rather than later

If Philly had additional moves lined up that involved moving one of Andrae or York I could maybe see him being a fit. I like Behrens but there's just no way the Flyers are going to plan to have a blueline with 4 sub-6 feet tall defenders on it

For example, do you think that the Montreal Canadiens would give you Nick Suzuki for that package? I get why Anaheim fans take issue with a lot of Zegras packages on here, but this should be a slam-dunk no questions asked "yes" from the Ducks. Both of these guys have been excellent in their rookie season, with Foerster in particular having immense upside and playing a style that would thrive on what the Ducks are trying to build (very strong defensively, big and great on the forecheck/cycle, borderline elite shot etc). Not to mention getting a 1st rounder out of the whole ordeal.
And even though I like Zegras a ton, Suzuki is the better player right now

2025 1st + one of Ceci or Kulak would probably be Philly's ask for Seeler + Walker 50% as a package. So after that you're looking at Broberg, Holloway and XB for TK w/ 500k retention, which I don't think Philly does
There'd need to be a more premium asset in a TK package than those guys.

What are trade targets or FA signings to fit timeline of this team
Zegras and Lundell are my very clear top-2 targets for trades, followed shortly behind by Mittelstadt. I don't think a lot of these guys would even be available necessarily, but some other players I'd be willing to throw out somewhere between a big and massive offer for would be Necas, Thomas, Wright, Lambert, Mercer, K.Johnson. Main point being: they need a U25 Center with clear top-6 potential.
Outside of that, not much at all in terms of roster players. Maybe if a big winger on a decent contract is available you kick the tires on him, Hanafin is an interesting option as a long term partner for Drysdale but that's about it on D.
For the draft, some guys I like who I think could be available in the 20-50 range (where we will have a few picks): Artamonov, Shuravin, Chernyshov (can you tell I like the Russians lmao), Greentree, Hutson, Kiviharju, Mews and Jiricek. The one other thing I'll say about the draft is this: Demidov is going to fall <em>way</em> harder than people might think come draft day, when he's inevitably there in that 11-15 range Briere should do everything in his power to move up and grab him. A decade + of Demidov + Michkov would be the most talent this team has had on a line since the Legion of Doom

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BleedOrange23</b></div><div>I am fine with all the moves you made other than the Lundell trade and signing Seeler. I have no issue with Lundell, it just seems like a lot to give up for a player that isn't that huge of an upgrade on Frost. Resigning Seeler is a major mistake, he will be 31 next year and with that cap hit it doesn't give the opportunity to younger players.</div></div>
The idea with Lundell is the potential payoff is *way* higher than it could be with Frost, he had the D+1 and D+2 of a star 1C in the making and only fell off the last 2 years due to just being a bad fit with Maurice and an otherwise surging Panthers team.
I don't love the idea of Seeler either, but they're probably going to resign him. I will say though I'm not worried about him being a blocker, injuries always happen and unless Bonk blows expectations out of the water at camp they don't have anybody who is super close to NHL ready, let alone potential future top-4 guys

I would almost go so far as to say that he wouldn't be involved in any trade (outside of the obvious), until the end of the year. There are rumors of a long term deal in the offseason and he was 3 off of 30 goals last year and is on pace for 30 this year at 24 years old. He is a Torts guy for sure, which is huge when talking about this specific coach.
Necas is definitely not a guy we would add Tippett into a deal for.</div></div>
I disagree, largely because I think Necas can be a Center and that he'd be a great fit under Tortorella. As much as Tippett has impressed lately, losing a guy who long term would probably end up being your 4th/5th best winger just isn't worth it if you can get a potential long term fit down the middle

Then Zegras will learn to backcheck? Tortorella doesn't ask his super offensively minded players to be defensive wizards, he asks them to give a **** about defense and at a bare minimum make an effort on the backcheck and in their own zone, period.
I think Tortorella getting the message across to Zegras "hey, I expect you to give an honest effort every night" and Zegras agreeing to those terms is far more likely than Zegras being a complete and total manchild and saying "lol I only wanna play for teams that don't make me actually play hockey"

I like Zegras but hes currently injured, with a game based on speed/agility which injuries affect, and hes not a 70 pt player for this package.</div></div>
To play Devil's Advocate: let's say Brink and Bonk hit their roughly projected ceilings and become a 2nd line winger and 3D respectively. Even though those are very valuable pieces to have in a lineup, if you think Zegras can be a top line forward (or even better a 1C), that is a <em>way</em> more valuable asset to have in your lineup than a Brink or Bonk. Hell, in theory with smart moves you can probably fill the voids of 2nd line winger or 3D fairly easily in any given offseason with smart asset management and creativity, you can't do that with a 1C. Also don't think the injury thing matters here, Anaheim isn't going to sell him at "injured value" and no team would or should acquire him in the first place if they think he's the level of player he's been since injury.
I'm 50/50 if Philly should do this, but only because I really like Bonk. If they could replace Bonk with another 1st and 2nd then I do this in a heartbeat

Ideal Offseason and TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Does Philly have the assets Anaheim would want? Middle to late first turn into middle to bottom 6 players 3-5 years from now, and we already have an abundance of those players in our system at every position. We also have better RHD prospects than the one offered, and our GM doesn't like diminutive players like the winger offered.
So what impact piece can Philly offer to get Zegras? Who has a ceiling in the same ballpark as his? Because we're not trading him for a collection of lesser assets that might one day add up to one Trevor Zegras.</div></div>
I'd imagine if push came to shove and Philly *really* wants Zegras that one of Bonk/TK/Farabee would be on the table, having said that at a certain point I don't see why Anaheim wouldn't just take a mountain of other futures and use them to add whatever they want
