Literally full sprint before the ink is even dry. I think I would literally cry if that trade happened.

I concur with the ceiling/floor estimate. He didn't generate many points last year, but he has very good speed and plays aggressively. I really don't want the Sharks to trade him before we see what offense he can produce (especially given the current sluggish state of the Sharks lineup).

I would definitely consider signing Hoffman as a big move, but as stated above, there is bad history between his and EK65's wives. Hopefully, they can keep some picks and find cheap value in free agency (rather than adding another big contract).

I think someone like Johannson would be useful but the Sharks can't afford to have a third-line winger take up that much of their dwindling cap space. The window doesn't stay open with that addition, they'll need to find cheaper options.

Depends on how much he costs, if it's 4 years and $5 mil/year -- don't the Sharks take that?
However, I'd be shocked if the Rangers couldn't get more than two thirds for him.

Age isn't an indicator or guarantee of basic grammatical knowledge. I was an editor in college and you would not believe how many basic grammatical mistakes college students (with intent to become writers) make.

I would be surprised if the Sharks traded Meier, but I think if the trade starts with two firsts, maybe add in Armia instead of two blueline prospects.
Meier for No. 9, No. 30/31 (ideally DAL goes to the finals) and Armia would be tough to pass up. That'd be four picks in the top 34 -- which could replenish the system or be used to bring in new pieces.

I like him a lot, but at that rate, you may as well give Toffoli 6x5 and get better production out of him. Smith for 2 years makes sense at 4.5-4.75 million. For 5 years, 3.75-4 is what I think he should be making.
The goal tending scares me again as well. Other than that, this is a potential playoff roster I think.</div></div>
Regardless of where Craig Smith signs (I would like him in SJ), I bet the contract is 3 years at about $4.5 million/year.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks </b></div><div>HARD NO!!! Hard hard hard no from sharks
Not hard because the value is poor hard because that trade would vastly improve 2 weak points In our teams lineup instantly for a great price but with stupid jones Vlassic and Karlsson eating up our cap space we really don’t have the money to add both these players and still fill all the other holes on the team. I think we do TBL 1st and SJ 21 3rd And gambrel if you retained 1.5/1.75 on Raata contract.</div></div>
I'm thinking Sorenson and the 2nd for Raanta, Hinostroza and a 6th. By my calculations on an AGM team I'm making right now, we should have about $2.5-3 mil in cap space (assuming Marleau and Thornton return for about 900k and Labanc signs for $3 mil/year.

What do you think Hinostroza would sign for though? Maybe $4-5 mil over 2 years.

Yeah but if you figure that Gambrell is still young and maybe just needs a change of scenery, him plus a 3rd gets Johansson. And Kapanen is probably worth a 1st, right? So that would, in theory, make for an even trade.
