Where and what
Hawks decline instantly. There is zero chance they pay anything to acquire Allen. They'll sign a vet G in free agency if they need one.

But hey, if that guy in his profile pick is still around in seven years then that’s a sign the rebuild went well!

Hopefully he doesn’t take after his cousin, sign a 7yr 7M deal and mentally check out. 🤣

Yeah. Send them the tourist italian beef and we'll keep Johnny's Italian Beef for ourselves. Maybe we should send the tourist "Chicago style" pizza too, like Uno's and Lou's.

Detroit has the choice. Ottawa gets the worse of the two picks, so most likely they keep their own this year.

Leafs trade
Leafs need size/physicality on their back end and they need more offensive production and puck moving from their back end. Ferraro provides neither. Leafs are also low on RD. This trade doesn't make sense for them.

Broberg Idea
Wennberg has been playing serious minutes for Seattle over the past 3 years. He has been getting number one minutes. His offensive numbers clearly don't match that but I expect it's because his defensive game is very solid. Seattle made it to the top 8 last year with Wennberg as their #1C. I expect that he may even fetch a 1st round pick at the deadline, based on that. 3rd won't be enough for him. At least I doubt it is.

I mean... Palmieri is as good as he has ever been. He plays in the top 6 for the Isles, plays 18 minutes a night, and plays on the power play. I call that a top 6 forward. His and Beauvillier's cap hits are similar. He is probably a better option in the top 6 than Beauvillier. BUT, CHI was also trying to replace both Hall and Perry on the roster and also trying to move past the Perry situation. So, KD was probably just desperate enough to just get something done and not argue semantics.

playing with another team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DangleCat</b></div><div>I also think Nuge is still a good player and would be valuable asset to the hawks, but 6 years...that is too much term for me, in particular if we also eat the Campbell contract.</div></div>
Well, if you consider the offensive output he is capable of at that cap hit, it makes a ton more sense. Only because of his age, does the 6 years scare me. But, he could just as easily still be playing at a high level by then. He doesn't have many heavy miles on him, most of his NHL career has been spent within EDM's rebuild.

Detroit Red Wings signed Patrick Kane (1 Year / $2,750,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DangleCat</b></div><div>If he torpedo's that entire line don't play him there.....seems easy enough. They could literally healthy scratch him for the rest of season if he plays THAT bad.</div></div>
Basically, they'll know in a couple games if he's going to work out on that line. Absolute worst case scenario is his hip isn't good enough and he goes on LTIR getting paid for nothing. The only risk here is how many unfortunate people will have to buy a Little Caesers Hot-n-ready pizza to give the Ilitch family $2.75m to pay Kane to not play if he's that bad. Those are the real victims here.

The Oil need more Scoring Depth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fail4Nail</b></div><div>Que the delusional Blackhawk fans saying Raddysh is worth multiple first round picks + McDavid or Drai...</div></div>
Personally I have not seen any Hawks fans claim Raddysh is worth multiple 1st. Most feel with a repeat or improvement on last seasons numbers (20+ goals) he could return A 1st round pick (singular) at the TDL, especially when you consider he is on a below NHL minimum deal AND he is an RFA, meaning he is not a rental. Theoretically a team could trade for Raddysh, send down another player making $1m and create cap space.
What is delusional are people who think you can trade a $5m per season dogs**t goalie with four seasons left on his contract in a climate where only a handful of teams have cap space AND despite all of that you won’t have to pay an expensive premium to make the deal happen.

Honestly, its so hard to predict but you are right, players are asking for a lot given the future rise in cap, i guess the ones I've predicted are more team beneficial, but that rarely happens
