Lol. He's never stated so, unlike your Golden Boy. But since you can't provide anything constructive I'll leave it at that.

He's not 100% gone, I agree, but he's 100% going to free agency. He's one year away and planned his career to be a free agent as soon as possible. He could end up in Winnipeg if they have the most competitive offer, but he's not extending long-term before hitting free agency.

It pretty much is IMO. Either Winnipeg trades him this summer to get something substantial, or they use him as their own rental and he goes to FA next season.

It won't be difficult. Dubois will just take his QO and leave in free agency if he's not traded.

Heh. He should not take the blame for a single season I agree, but after 900 games he must be held accountable,

I would do the st. louis deal, but not the Chicago deal. Brodie and Liljegren are both significantly better than Murphy, so that's a steep price for our 3rd pair. It also allows us to keep serviceable Kerfoot.

Neither guy is going to put your team over the top (the only year Boeser's made any sort of noise in the playoffs was the 2019-20 season, when the Canucks were technically out of traditional playoff positioning when the season was stopped), and both of them are only mildly acquainted with the concept of defense, so I'll take the guy capable of scoring 40+ than the guy who tops out around 25 usually.</div></div>
I don't particularly like either guy, but if the team is competent enough to use that difference in cap hit, I go with Boeser. At least the term is shorter.

Neither Skinner nor Buffalo fans seem to grasp the concept of playoffs. Reaching the playoffs is the first giant step and Skinner has proven to be unable to contribute to that despite being paid to do so. What happens after is another league where only 4 make it past the first round compared to 8 teams reaching the playoffs.

The topic is "Skinner value". Literally the name of the thread. The answer is not much. He's paid to be a difference-maker and cant be one if his life depended on it.

It's crazy to think that 41-year-old Craig Anderson might be the one who finally stabilizes that position behind him.</div></div>
It doesn't matter. $9M guy, no playoff games in a 900 gp career, there are just no excuses.

No, because Marner, Matthews and Tavares are huuuge reasons why the Leafs make the playoffs every year. It's not the same thing all, man. What happens after is another debate.
And yes, it's on the actual topic. My point being Skinner doesn't have much value since he is paid to be a difference-maker and hasn't been one in almost 1000 games.

There are only a handful of players to win a series with a $10M contract. Thats not the point. I know Price was the only one before last season and then others joined him (Bobrovsky, Panarin, McDavid). But the players I mentioned have at least made the playoffs once in... you know... in less than 900 career games.

Did I? But you acted like 43 is nothing. It's more than the average active NHL player. Anyways I'm not even a habs fan or an Anderson fan, so I'm not even involved in this debate I just think he is over-hated. At 3.5M I would like him on the Leafs.

I like interacting with you, but I think you overvalue Buffalo too much for a team that hasn't reached the playoffs in over a decade. Buffalo cant afford to be as selective as you want them to be. Thats not an insult, just something I noticed.
