<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NYR1983</b></div><div>Panarin played with CHI for 2 seasons. Both years was under a point per game. His best seasons have been since he left with CLB and NYR.. 2 teams that weren’t highly competitive for most of that time. Barkov is for sure a top 15 player, top 5 C, but Bread is a top 5 player. Let’s play it your way.. since 17/18’ season to current(post CHI and Kane)

Barkov 348GP 386pts +55
Panarin 350GP 428pts +107

And while you might say Huberdeau hadn’t broke out because you don’t seem to know your stuff..

Huberdeau 371GP 418pts +35

Over that span of time the ranks are

McDavid
Draisaitl
Mackinnon
Kane
Panarin
Marchand
Huberdeau
Gaudreau
Marner
Stamkos
Matthews
Pastrnak
Crosby
Kucherov
Barkov</div></div>

I don't know my stuff... yeah sure kiddo. Not like Huberdeau has never hit the 100 point mark before and had only hit the 80 point mark once. Maybe you need to do your own research.

So your defense is that Panarin played on awful teams he outscored a guy that played on worse teams? And the difference in offensive ability doesn't atone for the defensive chasm between them. Barkov still plays a more valuable position. He's still WAY better defensively. Again, you turn to plus minus like it's a representation of good defense. It's a representation of goal differential. All that shows is that Florida still needs a good goalie. You really are digging your hole deeper here. Barkov is the best defensive forward in the game right now. Hands down, no contest. He's coming off a year where he was on a very similar scoring pace to Panarin. Yet, you continue to say Panarin is better. I don't get this. Panarin is a star. Barkov is a franchise-changing talent.
