A, I think you're forgetting who the Flyers GM is lol. And B, idk how you can say way way way more.. Fabbri is still of use, and its a high 2nd in a deep draft and Boston's 1st has potential to be pretty valuable too. Based it on the Hronek deal, but added Fabbri for value so Philly can stick him top line and flip a year later at half retained.

Sharangovich is 24, and is an RFA next summer. He played top line minutes this year, scoring a 25 goal, 50 point pace.
That's why.</div></div>
Vaccine likely wont matter for playing time next season. Devils would obviously only do this if Bert is extended (and he can play fully unvaxed, which I assume he will be able to). And he was pretty much point per game last year, was all season up until Blashill stuck him with Fabbri and Suter and his production dropped off. And Larkin got hurt mid-season, tried playing through it for a while but wasn't the same. With Hughes and Bratt, Bert would easily be point per game in NJ and be a definite upgrade on Sharangovich. I think it makes a ton of sense for them personally. Would never hapoen but would be fair imo if it did. Maybe Detroit adds slightly but I wouldn't think they would have to

I don't think its a ton more to pay to get Wright in this scenario. Petry would provide a much needed Vet presence with the insanely young d core. I see a gap from Cooley to Wright, but not massive, so if the asking price was any higher than my offer I wouldn't do it. Petry's contract sucks but it doesn't matter at all in Detroit

The Wings aren't trading their goalie of the future to move up 1 spot in the draft. If the asking price was that insanely high they just stay at 2 and pick Cooley. Not a big enough gap from Wright to Cooley

Bert is a stud. 30+ goal point-per-game top line winger. They get the top line winger they reportedly are looking for, and they still pick in the top 10 and likely get Savoie/Lekkerimaki. I don't see why NJ wouldn't do that

Hronek is a solid young top 4 D and I personally don't value Petry very highly with his age, steep decline last season, and his hefty contract, but he is a Michigan guy and I needed a vet on the blueline. Habs deal only happens if they are truly 50/50 on Wright/Slaf. Otherwise they take Wright (as they should) and Detroit stays put at 2 and takes Cooley.

I personally want to see Hronek with a good partner and decent top 4 before paying him much. 2 years is ideal imo, see how him and Leddy work, while a second pair of Pettersson-Seider is solid. Pettersson is 25, and a decent top 4 option. Detroit wont be a cap team for a while, I like taking a shot on a guy like him. Better than playing Seider with Danny D

Detroit declines imo. No reason to give 2 2nds for a bottom 6 guy and a bottom pairing dman. Yes Dermott has upside, but rather keep the picks for said upside in the draft.

Definitely not too much for Mantha on an 8 year deal. Could turn into a big steal.</div></div>
Mantha has never hit 50 points or 30 goals. Yes he has paced well in PPG, but he cant stay healthy. No reason for Detroit to want him for 8 years at 8 mil. I love Mantha, but he isnt worth more than 6.5 on any term.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>1) The value of Georgiev here is not reflective of the value the Rangers have him at which is more reflective of his "on-ice value". Simply put, Georgiev's been a top 10 goalie over the last 2 seasons and the most valuable U25 goalie in the league
<a href="https://ibb.co/qRF2jhN" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/tbP1Knq/Screen-Shot-2020-08-13-at-1-28-58-PM.png" alt="Screen-Shot-2020-08-13-at-1-28-58-PM"></a>
The Rangers know this, and have stated they won't deal him for less than a 1st ++. which makes sense if you know how to properly value goaltending.
2) It's just really not nearly enough to entice a deal at all. Gourde has had the same on-ice value as Larkin and Mantha over the past 2 seasons
<a href="https://ibb.co/t88DmW3" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/nzzjg5R/Screen-Shot-2020-08-13-at-1-31-45-PM.png" alt="Screen-Shot-2020-08-13-at-1-31-45-PM"></a>
So his contribution relative to contract is positive not negative. Tampa would surely get significantly better offers elsewhere. Lindstrom has little value at all.</div></div>
Goalies simply dont get that kind of return. I do rate Georgiev highly, but with Shesterkin and Lundqvist he is likely the odd man out. The Rangers are also in a bad cap situation, and dumping Smith, or maybe Staal, would certainly make things a lot easier. I think trading the Wings one of their bad contracts along with Georgiev makes a lot of sense. Maybe the Wings give a bit more
Tampa has to shed space. Johnson, Killorn, and Gourde all could be moved to make space, and out of the 3, Gourde has the biggest contract. He is out of place in Tampa, and with his cap hit is dead weight for them. I cant see any scenario in which Tampa can shed Gourde without giving assets along with him. They obviously prefer Johnson and Killorn, and trading Gourde along with Serg would mean they can spend the money for Serg on their other RFAs. Detroit would probably have to give more, but I think the base works

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SweetRevenge19</b></div><div>I like the NY trade. Feels fair.
I think Tampa finds another team willing to give up more, so Wings probably need to add. But I obvi like it as a fan.
And I wouldn’t want the Wings to still go after Krug if they win Sergachev sweeps. One or the other.
Also, Helm isn’t a scratch, he was their best bottom six forward last year, and good on pk.</div></div>
Yeah I wasnt confident about the Serg deal, but I think something along the lines could maybe work.
Helm is a good bottom six guy, but I see him getting shipped off at the deadline, along with Nemeth. So I left Helm out of the picture because I dont think he will be there all year. He would play though until he is gone. I was going to also leave Nemeth out because hopefully he would get traded as well, but it hurt me too much to put him out of the lineup lol.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>Easy declines from both teams.</div></div>
Why? For the Rangers trade, shedding Smith alleviates some of their cap issues, and I have seen Georgiev most often go for a 2nd and 3rd. Taking on Smith's contract would be equivalent to a 2nd. Maybe Detroit could add a little but I dont think it is far off.
For the Tampa trade, Gourde at over 5 mil for 5 more years is a ton of dead weight. They are extremely tight to the cap, and they arent going to be able to sign their RFAs unless they get rid of a couple contracts. 32nd overall is a very good piece, and Lindstrom is a former 2nd who played well and projects to be a good NHL dman. I dont know if it is enough, but I dont think the trade is a bad starting point at least.
