Best possible trade option for this package deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMs</b></div><div>Lindgren have no value
Bring that 2nd to an early one and that’s a better offer</div></div>
Respectfully disagree... His value is low, but he's still a young prospect playing a valuable position that often takes longer than normal seasoning. The offer is solid, although the player coming back would likely have to be someone with a large contract given that there's likely 8ish mil in that package leaving the habs.

Habs Fan here. Domi's not getting 8 mil, not in this financial climate. I'd wager around 6.5. His season's weren't consistent enough for 7-8.

Fully agreed, I knew that would be a discussion point even stating "no trades" haha. Goes to show how stacked this roster could be with young talent and one key piece added.

You'd slot KK above Suzuki after the they both just put up?

Opening Night Lineup 2020
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>math731</b></div><div>That Domi issue isnt that big of a problem. Id move him on Zukes' wing and let him take half the faceoff (on his strong side).
Tatar (even though Id trade him)-Danault-Gallagher
Domi-Suzuki-Kovalchuk
Drouin-KK-Armia
Lehkonen-Evans-Byron
Then wait for CC to finish his season and put him on Zukes' line.... Plus the guy we will draft this year. Just imagine how good this team offense will be in one year especially if we end up with Laf! But guys like Raymond, Perfetti, Rossi and Holtz will all be elite</div></div>
The young depth is wild. I feel the need to keep Drouin in the top 6 but you're probably right, I LOVE the Domi-Suzuki-Kovalchuk line. LOVE it. Can you imagine a more fan-favorite line when they hit the ice? the Bell Centre would be electric.

Kovalchuk - I don't see him taking more than 2 - 2.5 for a one year. He's almost guaranteed to come to MTL on a mutual friendly deal.
Nate - maybe elsewhere yea
Khudobin - honestly i'd go up to 3.5 on him, love that player</div></div>
I don't disagree with any of this, well put.

I'm in agreement with both of you, in an ideal world he takes the decision out of management's hands and makes the team without an issue. His rehab has him looking strong af which is a great sign, but i dont think its the end of the world if he starts in the A then gets called up. Still absurdly young. He's certainly an NHL player, just want to see him with bigger minutes.

Projected Habs Opening Lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>juuice</b></div><div>I would be very disappointed if this is the Habs 2020-21 opening night line up. A big move is needed this summer.
- Romanov....I think a year in the AHL would be beneficial
- KK...I'm even thinking he could use more time in the AHL
- Kovalchuk....I REALLY hope Bergevin can find someone better than him to add to the RW
- Lehkonen....really hope there is something more coming. I'd like to upgrade that 3rd Line LW. Personally I would prefer Byron there</div></div>
I get where you're coming from. Although;
- Romanov - every report i've seen indicates the club expects him to play for the CH next season, specifically in a 3rd pair role. honestly knowing our development cycle i wouldnt be surprised to see him on the second pair with Petry at some point.
- KK - I dont disagree at all, i think he could use more time there as well. I think i'd slot Suzuki in at center in that case...
- With the summer of 2021 coming soon & many upcoming contracts extensions to consider, i'd like to see them take a lower risk add in free agency, and Kovalchuk was a great fit.
- Interesting point, again i don't disagree, however we know how valuable Lehky's 2 way ability is to Julien.
Cheers

De Haan would be a better fit for the Habs, Slavin ideally but I can't imagine Waddell moves him. Drouin would be an overpayment for De Haan, Shaw & a low pick would probably get it done.
